Job Description Summary
The Salesforce Administrator will serve as the primary contact for the Salesforce platform at HarbourVest and will be responsible for the administration of the application. This includes executing on day-to-day configuration, support and maintenance, requirement gathering, enhancements and upgrades, creation and maintenance of reports and dashboards, maintenance of data integrations, end-user training, documentation, and ensure data hygiene and integrity. The Administrator will work closely with stakeholders, subject matter experts, business analysts and other members of the IT team to ensure accurate and on time delivery of enhancements and maintenance work.
Skills Required
  • Salesforce.com Admin certified
  • Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Developer certifications preferred
  • CRM Analytics (formerly Tableau CRM, formerly Einstein Analytics) experience a plus
  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality
  • Knowledge of APEX
  • Problem solving skills, ability to dissect complex situations and troubleshoot solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, including experience translating technical concepts and decisions to non-technical staff
  • Strong affinity for data and attention to detail
  • Confident self-starter capable of setting plans and driving projects to completion
  • Experience deploying and managing enterprise-wide Salesforce.com implementation
  • Experience with complex data migration, ETL processes, and data analysis
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, including working with pivot tables and v-lookups
Responsibilities
Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment
  • Drive SalesForce roadmap and enhancements to ensure alignment with strategic objectives of the business
  • Drive end-user adoption by assisting in day-to-day Salesforce CRM support, including the management of system upgrades, releases, and change control processes
  • Respond to end user issues, enhancement requests, and other administrative needs
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests
  • Configure and maintain custom objects, record types, fields, page layouts, formulas, data validation rules, triggers, custom workflows, approval processes, installed packages, etc. within Salesforce.com
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards
  • Manage the integration of applications connected to Salesforce.com, including but not limited to Marketo, Seismic, eFront, etc. Troubleshoot data or integration-related issues across platforms
  • Maintain data quality by identifying, deleting or merging duplicate records, cleansing and updating inaccurate data, and managing data imports
  • Maintain sandbox environments used for testing and training
  • Complete regular internal system audits, keep abreast of new functionality
  • Maintain user roles and profiles, role hierarchy, & security settings
Engage with business stakeholders
  • Elicit, analyze and document requirements; propose solutions that leverage Salesforce functionality. Translate approved solutions into actionable deliverables, ensuring high levels of quality, accuracy and process consistency
  • Assist in training of new users, and grow the Salesforce.com skill set across the organization
  • Effectively act as the liaison between users, vendors and the application development team
Education
BS/BA in computer science, or equivalent
Work Experience
3-5 Years relevant experience. Minimum two years of experience as a Salesforce.com administrator
