Job Title: Salesforce Integration Architect


Classification: Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)


Reports to: President


Work Location/Travel: Work is remote or on-site at client location. Percentage of travel to client sites, where the travel occurs, such as locally or in specific countries or states, and whether the travel is overnight, varies.

Job Summary:


This is a client facing role is a critical part of Apex IT’s delivery model, working closely with cross-functional team and client stakeholders to navigate the Salesforce technical landscape and ultimately design, implement and launch a working technical solution that meets or exceeds client expectations. Responsibility also includes working closely with off-shore / outsourced resources.


Essential Functions:

  • Technical solution development, implementation, and execution for data integration and migration aspects of our projects in conjunction with the comprehensive Salesforce solution developed by the Technical Architects/Technical Leads
  • Communicate technical solutions and design trade-offs effectively to business stakeholders.
  • Document system requirements and decisions surrounding integrations and system interactions.
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, communication and writing skills.
  • Closely collaborate with project managers and/or clients to scope work and produce estimates to help define deliverables and timelines.
  • Interact directly with customers to review requirements, manage project delivery and obtain deliverable feedback.
  • Experience with Salesforce APIs, data models and platform functionality.
  • Experience defining, designing and developing solutions with Integration platforms/tools (ex. Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, Informatica, Jitterbit).
  • Experience with integration and end-to-end system testing and performance tuning.

  • Maintain and pursue continuing education opportunities, such as training and certification exams.
  • Participate on internal projects.
  • Provide expertise and help to others, as needed, on projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • May assist with training members of the technical staff.
  • May conduct interviews.
  • Assigns duties and responsibilities and oversees workflow of project staff.
  • May conduct project performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Work Environment:

The work environment is remote or on-site at a client location. While remote, employees are expected to provide an office space for themselves with a professional background (including virtual backgrounds) and noise level.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Bending, sitting lifting, driving.

Position Type and expected hours of work:

  • Full time work during Apex IT business hours and, at times, outside of business hours, if required.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science-related field or commensurate experience required.
  • 12 years of experience

Salesforce Data Architecture & Management Designer
