As a Developer in our Salesforce Center of Excellence, you will work across the enterprise to help Delta achieve its greatest possible success with the Salesforce.com platform. Deltas Salesforce COE is responsible for enabling all of our business units who adopt Salesforce products this means you need to be naturally curious, driven to understand by asking questions, focused on optimization, willing to explain to less experienced team members, and able to quickly pivot between diverse business units with widely differing goals. Its critical as a member of the COE to be a standard-bearer for best practices, Salesforce knowledge, and making Delta a better place.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate cross-functionally with business and other IT teams across Delta
Champion development and integration standards, best practices, and their related deliverables
Aim to deliver processes and components that can be maintained by the business into the future using native features and functions whenever possible
Design, develop, and deploy Apex classes, triggers, test methods, and Lightning web components to meet the businesss requirements
Participate in the creation of documentation to ensure that no component or process is a black box
Optimize and improve existing Salesforce implementations so that every team is achieving the maximum benefit from their investment in Salesforce
Work to continually understand the new features added to Salesforces products and aid the business in regression testing as needed to avoid disruption from any Salesforce-side upgrade
Support off-hours problems when they arise What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority High School diploma, GED or High School Equivalency Act with urgency and a sense of ownership in the broader scheme of Deltas success 5 years of enterprise experience developing in Salesforce.com products A strong desire to leverage native Salesforce functions and to adopt scalability as a core design principle in all projects Works well with individuals at all levels of Salesforce experience Exposure to diverse lines of business utilizing Salesforce in different ways Able to clearly articulate the pros and cons of why you would use a particular method to achieve a solution Unafraid to offer suggestions if there may be a more efficient way to do something Deep familiarity with building integrations between Salesforce and other platforms using Apex REST APIs or other integration ETL tools Experience debugging components and code built by other developers and understand how to get to the root of the issue Comfortable working in the office as a general rule, though some work from home is allowed Understands the complexity of working in an environment with sales, service, and marketing cloud all working together Deep knowledge of LWC and how to make performant components This role will require working onsite/ in an office part of the week
Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc. What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
Salesforce Certifications are great and Trailhead badges are good, but real-world experience in Salesforce and other platforms is best
Experience with or demonstrated willingness to learn Salesforce marketing cloud, particularly how to build integrations to populate data extensions and trigger journeys
Experience with Agile framework methodologies, Version1, and test automation in the force.com platform
Strong collaborative history working with business partners, other developers, architects, and teams managing other programs and projects
Leading the establishment of standards in a federated Salesforce governance model
Bachelors Degree or 5 plus years of relevant experience
