SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, the Marketing Automation Manager will drive both inbound and outbound marketing efforts by leveraging technology to help marketing and admissions teams work smarter and faster. Experience in using creative strategy and technical proficiency will be used to build the brand, increase leads, and improve conversions. Key responsibilities include managing marketing software and technology stack to streamlines processes, automate manual workflows, and set up measurement tools to generate actionable insight. Working closely with the Marketing Analytics team, the Marketing Automation Manager will analyze and utilize insights to improve the customer experience.

Working with key stakeholders, such as product marketing and sales, the Marketing Automation Manager will plan and oversee the execution of successful campaigns across multiple channels and measure the results that they drove on each one. May manage a team of marketers, content creators, and/or designers.

Additional responsibilities include collaborating with the creative team to help determine how automation could help a campaign deliver very specific and impactful personalized messages.

Desired experience will include knowledge of student lifecycle–from awareness to enrollment, onboarding to retention, and graduation to advocacy–as it relates to the entire student experience across touchpoints and a solid understanding of the principles and strategies of data-driven marketing and modern demand generation, plus hands-on experience with marketing automation technology, email marketing platforms, and SMS communication.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Analytics, Business or related field

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 – 5 years of related experience
  • Previous experience using Marketing Automation platforms directly related or similar to Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Manager, Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua, Hubspot, Hootsuite, etc.
  • Experience with CRM Data Architecture:
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Implementation and/or have a strong understanding of the data architecture and flow between Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud.
  • Firm understanding of Salesforce Contact Builder and how data links between Subscribers, List, and Data Extensions.
  • Experience with Technical Deployment:
  • Knowledgeable in SQL, Ampscript, and Javascript.
  • Experience creating Automations and have a firm understanding of the Automation activities (SQL Query, Data Extract, Script, etc.)
  • Have experience developing Marketing Journeys leveraging a range of Data Extension, Salesforce Data, and API Event entry sources.
