The Associate/ Mid-level Salesforce System Administrator is responsible for administration, maintenance, analysis, and infrastructure work on web and business-productivity related systems.


The ideal candidate for this position is a strategic thinker who is creative, experienced, and passionate about Salesforce. As a member of our Salesforce administration team, you will collaborate with solution architects, developers, administrators, and business experts to create innovative solutions and solve complex business challenges by working across teams to efficiently support existing functionality and to identify, develop, and release new functionality.

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Evaluate, implement, analyze, and maintain changes to Dart's Salesforce ecosystem
  • Evaluate and resolve service tickets
  • Keep abreast of new technology developments and make recommendations regarding changes to current standards and solutions as appropriate
  • Provide ongoing leadership for members of the team around Salesforce skill development, process improvements, strategy, and coordination
  • Lead complex initiatives to improve our implementation of Salesforce by working across teams to define problems, identify potential solutions, coordinate selection and procurement of third-party apps where appropriate, implement new solutions, and drive adoption
  • Provide mentorship and training to web developers and business administrators new to the Salesforce ecosystem or the company’s Salesforce environments
  • Work with Dart Salesforce developers and business analysts to create and maintain Salesforce enhancements, including but not limited to: Custom Objects and Applications, Flow, Approval Processes, formulas, validation rules, and Roll-up Summary fields


Core Skills and Qualifications for Associate level:

  • Requires one of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in computer science, web development, information systems or related field, OR
    • Associate’s degree with an emphasis in computer science, web development, information systems or related field of study and one (1) year of IT experience, OR
    • High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of IT experience
  • One (1) year of experience in Salesforce administration
  • Salesforce administrator experience on Lightning Platform
  • Demonstrated success implementing Salesforce best practices and functionality
  • Ability to assist in the assessment of the impact of new releases of Salesforce on all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes
  • Strong verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers
  • Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
  • Strong customer service skills and the demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally navigate novel and tense situations in a customer service environment
  • Ability to collaborate with team members
  • Ability to exhibit creativity and flexibility in solving customer problem
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Requires a favorable motor vehicle report upon hire
  • Additional work hours including weekends and holidays as required


Core Skills and Qualifications for Mid-level:

  • Requires one of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in computer science, web development, information systems or related field of study, OR
    • Associate’s degree with an emphasis in computer science, web development, information systems or related field of study and six (6) years of IT experience, OR
    • High school diploma or equivalent and twelve (12) years of IT experience
  • Three (3) years of experience in Salesforce administration
  • Salesforce Administrator experience on Lightning Platform
  • Current Saleforce Administrator or Platform App Builder certification
  • Demonstrated success implementing Salesforce best practices and functionality
  • Experience using Salesforce with third party data tools (e.g. Salesforce Data Loader, Salesforce Power BI connector, RingLead, FormAssembly)
  • Experience deploying Apex classes, triggers, Lightning components, standard and custom objects, profiles, and other changes from sandboxes to production
  • Ability to assess the impact of new releases of Salesforce on all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers
  • Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent customer service skills and the demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally navigate novel and tense situations in a customer service environment
  • Ability to collaborate with team members

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Additional current Salesforce certifications preferred: Experience Cloud Consultant, Advanced Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant
