The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Developer is responsible for the overall design and coding of our emails, the technical testing to ensure the best quality for our consumers and collaboration on the strategic vision and path for email marketing to be support the overall business. Responsibilities include leveraging AMPScript, Dynamic Content, Journey Builder, Customer Data, and Email Best Practices to develop best-in-class customer experiences that deliver on our goal of improving engagement and profitability.

Who you will be working with:
This position reports directly into the Sr. Manager, Email Marketing. There will be regular interaction with the Web Merchandising team, Business Intelligence, Circulation & Catalog team, Brand Marketing Team, Consumer Insights Team, Web Design, and external strategic partners.


This position will regularly interact with the Director of Digital Marketing.


Remote candidates will be considered.


What you will be working on:
  • Build, test and deploy marketing and email campaigns including personalization and dynamic content across different Marketing Cloud Studios;
  • Develop email templates, which will include coding of emails using HTML, CSS and AMPscript;
  • Leverage Journey Builder to deliver multi-touch communications;
  • Respond to common business requirements and perform administrative functions within Marketing Cloud
  • Maintain best practices for Marketing Automation Platforms;
  • Provide troubleshooting / first line of support for stakeholders working on deliverables and encountering errors or technical issues with SFMC;
  • Dynamic and/or personalized module insertions based on Customer Data;
  • Email QA for content and rendering across email clients and mobile devices;
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest industry advancements, including opportunities to leverage AI and our technology to improve performance.

  • Qualifications we are looking for:
  • 1 to 3 years direct experience building solutions on the SFMC platform: Cloud Pages, Smart Forms, Web Collect, Collect Tracking, Email Studio, Social Studio, Journey Builder;
  • Familiarity in Marketing cloud connector, data extensions, integration with external systems (API) ;
  • Must have a very sound knowledge on CSS, HTML, Javascript, AMPScript;
  • Must be a quick learner and should be able to adapt to changing technical and business requirements;
  • Experience with responsive website design and various forms of online marketing including mobile, social, content, email, etc.;
  • Basic Salesforce administrative functions including process builder, triggers and workflow knowledge is desirable;
  • Preferred Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications including Marketing Cloud Developer and Marketing Cloud Email Specialist;
  • Good to have Salesforce Platform Developer certification;
  • If not certified, then should be willing to get certified within the first 3 months of work;
  • Able to interact with technical and non-technical colleagues with the ability to define complex technical challenges to non-technical stakeholders.
