Job Title: SalesForce Developer
Reports To: Director of Development
Location: Work from Anywhere
Employment Type: Contractor
Salary range: $60k - $100k annually


About this Role!


Our company is growing and going through important transformations. One of these is our decision to use Field Service Lightning to support part of our operations. A second step would be to use Vlocity. Your role will be instrumental in coordinating initial implementation with selected third-party integrators, developing new features and administering our Salesforce instance.


What You’ll Do


  • Work with product owners, projects managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and design solutions that meet those needs and can be scaled up or expanded upon in the future
  • Collaborate with other engineers, developers in solving new and existing technical challenges
  • Collaborate with third-party Salesforce integration teams during the initial implementations of a Salesforce product
  • Lead the team to leverage the platform to the best extent possible, recommending customizations where necessary in favor of utilizing the Salesforce platform
  • Ensure Salesforce best practices are leveraged in designing and delivering solutions
  • Understand the Salesforce product application roadmap, proactively planning for enhanced business capability
  • Establish and implement best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, and data integrity
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation
  • Facilitate the introduction of new technologies to the team
  • Participate in remote team meetings
  • At least 6 hours per day availability within a range of 4AM to 2PM PT (Pacific Time)
  • Other duties as required


What You’ll Bring


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of Salesforce development experience
  • Platform Developer I certification
  • Demonstrated experience working in medium to large scale Salesforce implementations
  • Extensive experience with Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce
  • Automated application testing experience
  • Understand best practices and SFDC coding standards
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment for Salesforce
  • Git proficiency
  • Ownership mindset
  • English (upper intermediate level or above) is required, both verbal and writing
  • Good communication skills

How You’ll Stand Out


  • Platform Developer II certification
  • JavaScript Developer I certification
  • Experience with Field Service Lightning or Vlocity
  • Experience with Process Builder, Workflow Rules, Validation Rules
  • Experience with MuleSoft
  • Experience developing React applications. We would prefer experience with larger SPAs and an understanding of the React ecosystem and build pipeline
  • Experience with Salesforce, specifically delivering customer user experiences in Salesforce using React or another JavaScript framework
  • Worked for a telecommunications company
  • PHP development experience
  • BPMN experience
