  • 2+ years previous development experience with Salesforce.com (Certified Salesforce.com Developer)
  • Solid understanding of and detailed experience with Salesforce.com architecture and API
  • Detailed experience writing Visualforce, Lightning Web Components and Apex classes and triggers
  • Proficiency in HTML, XML, JavaScript, ASP, SQL, Java or C++, SOAP-based web services
  • Experience using Salesforce data tools (Data Loader, Excel Connector, DemandTools, Visual Stuidio IDE)
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and competency with MS SQL Server, MYSQL, or Oracle
  • Demonstrative success with at least one large Salesforce.com integration project
  • Experience integrating Salesforce.com with other applications via real-time, batch, sync/async
  • Experience with scripted data loader, web services, cloud or on-premise middleware and other enterprise integrating technologies
  • Technical project management experience
  • Knowledge of Agile development practices, particularly sprint planning and assessment
  • Professional experience owning the end-to-end Software/Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including structure code management

Job summary
Amazon’s independent publishing service, Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), has revolutionized reading and the way authors of any experience and expertise can engage the millions of readers that shop on Amazon.

The Kindle Content Customer Service team is looking for a Salesforce Engineer with a strong record of designing and delivering Salesforce solutions and integrating them with other business systems.

As a Salesforce.com Engineer, you will:
  • Own and execute case management software and service delivery initiatives globally to build scale, efficiency, and a great customer experience.
  • Work directly with the Salesforce developers and administrators from multiple workstreams to ensure best practices are used and that approved designs are scalable and supportable in the long term.
  • Design and manage the integrations between to our various business systems and Salesforce.
  • Define and implement processes to assure the service architecture is aligned with the SFDC technical roadmap and our Business Stakeholders feature roadmap.
  • Provide design authority across all program workstreams to provide solutions that are highly usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainable on the Force.com platform.
  • Drive automation of processes, and develop new applications.
  • Be responsible for developing standards for development in APEX, Java, REST, Lightning Web Components, and other technologies to build customized solutions that support business requirements and drive key business decisions.

About the team

  • 2-4 years experience as a SFDC Developer
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field
  • Certified Force.com Developer (DEV-401) or equivalent experience
  • Certified Salesforce.com Administrator (ADM-201) or equivalent experience Advanced SQL and Excel skills
  • Understanding of UI design principles and best practices
  • Exceptional analytical skills and experience working with large-scale, complex datasets
  • Experience with Informatica Cloud or on-premise technologies
  • Experience integrating with AWS Services

  • The pay range for this position in Colorado is $121,000 - 160,000 yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
