The UCPath Center is the University of California's shared services center in Riverside, CA. The UCPath Center manages the payroll, benefits, and other human resources transactions for more than 200,000 UC employees working across ten UC campuses, five medical centers, three national labs and more. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Information Technology, and working closing with other Salesforce Administrators, this position will provide technical support for the Salesforce platform that provides customer support capabilities to UC employees, including case management, live chat, and access to knowledge articles. The Salesforce Administrator will work with the UCPath Center ITSS department, UCOP IT, vendors, business users, and other key stakeholders to understand business requirements, design and enhance the Salesforce experience, and participate in quality assurance activities. Additionally, the Salesforce Administrator will support the integrations between Salesforce and Pardot, the UCPath Online employee portal, Coveo, PeopleSoft HCM, Single Sign On, Genesys, Talkdesk, and other systems.
Administer of the UCPath Center Salesforce.com instance specializing in Service Cloud and Communities which include object and field definition, structure, documentation, long range requirements, operational guidelines, security and licensing.
Perform administration of the Salesforce.com instance by maintaining fields/relationships, workflow rules, approval processes, page layouts, security, validation rules, email, custom buttons/links, etc.
Support Salesforce releases and internal releases while providing day to day support including incident & request resolution.
Responsible for maintaining functional areas of contacts/relationship, accounts, opportunities, dashboards, and reports.
Enforce security controls ensuring data security is enforced by the use of roles, profiles, and sharing rules.
Continuously monitor data integration to ensure data integrity and quality.
Ensure reliability of master data maintained on the platform.
Perform analysis, administration, troubleshooting, testing, data and environment refreshes as needed.
Develop and refine our Salesforce.com reporting functionality: prepare dashboards, pipelines, and other ad hoc reports.
Work cross-functionally to maintain and improve integration with different systems.
Provide support on Salesforce integrations with other shared service center technologies such as Pardot, the UCPath Online employee portal, Coveo, PeopleSoft HCM, Single Sign On, Genesys, Talkdesk, and other systems.
Point of contact to Salesforce.com support.
Provide on-call support on a rotating basis between the Salesforce team.
BUSINESS ANALYSIS and QA
Be part of a fast paced team and participate in planning, documentation, execution, testing, and launch of projects.
Work with various functions and end users to identify, document, and communicate standard business processes as they relate to the database.
Keep abreast with new Salesforce.com features and functionality and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Research changes in upcoming versions of Salesforce.com and other integrated applications.
Provide recommendations when necessary to enhance efficiency and productivity. Assist users with report design and management.
Collaborate with end-users to create and maintain training materials. Drive adoption, onboarding and train the trainer's processes.
Work within an agile and/or waterfall environment to identify any issues with product/testing requirements. Assist with preparation of all prescribed quality assurance artifacts including, but not limited to, test plans and test cases.
Participate and/or review documentation and test results in all quality assurance test phases, such as requirements validation, unit, integration, user acceptance, and regression testing.
Perform quality assurance testing and report issues.
Collaborate with QA leads on automated testing.
Perform Salesforce configurations, Apex and VisualForce coding work.
Import and export data using various tools.
Implement changes with applications; test those changes to ensure accuracy; and work with the departments to accept and deploy the new solutions.
- Minimum of three (3) years demonstrated experience with administration of SalesForce.com.
- Experience with various Salesforce technologies such as Service Cloud, Communities, Lightning, Knowledge Management, live chat, etc.
- Functional knowledge of the Salesforce.com data structure; an understanding of how to leverage the tool to meet complex reporting requirements.
- Understanding of business and process analysis functions. Knowledge of the design, development and application of technology and systems to meet business needs. Ability to identify process improvements and recommend solutions.
- Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner.
- Proactive communicator with ability to both clearly explain systems and to gather information and assess needs of business partners.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to present information clearly and effectively. Strong sense of customer focus, both internal and external, and the importance of the voice of the customer.
- Ability to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent tasks. Ability to maintain flexibility and quickly address changing priorities.
- Ability to effectively interact, collaborate, and influence across all levels of an organization.

- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
- Salesforce Administrator Certification
This position requires occasional up to frequent non-standard and/or on-call work hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary: The recommended salary range is $95,000 - $105,000. Commensurate with experience.
