Job Description

IT Salesforce Business Analyst with a diploma in Computing and/or a professional IT qualification or equivalent experience and business analysis experience including tools and techniques for information modelling, understanding business operations and customer needs, is required by Guide Dogs.


SALARY: Up to £42,000 pro rata

LOCATION: This role will have opportunities to work from home as well as being office based. Preferences for office location will be discussed at interview stage.

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week, 9am – 5pm with a half hour lunch or 9am – 5.30pm with an hour lunch, Monday to Friday (the charity is always keen to support flexible working as best they can)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an IT Salesforce Business Analyst with a diploma in Computing and/or a professional IT qualification or equivalent experience and business analysis experience including tools and techniques for information modelling, understanding business operations and customer needs.

Working as the IT Salesforce Business Analyst you will gather, analyse, document and validate the needs of business stakeholders, shaping IS solutions and acting as a voice of the business within IS developments, building a close understanding of operational requirements.

DUTIES

Your duties as the IT Salesforce Business Analyst will include:

  • Capturing and defining system enhancement requirements between the business and IS across the agile development cycle
  • Working with the agile team across scrum events
  • Provide requirements engineering and business analysis services to the business for IS related projects and changes
  • Analyse business processes in project specific areas of the organisation
  • Work with third party suppliers of package and bespoke solutions to ensure that systems are designed and built to meet requirements
  • Support users during User Acceptance Testing
  • Support business change by working closely with other parts of IS
  • Analyse IS related business processes in order to identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility and recommend new approaches
  • Help the business understand the capacity and constraints of IS to support their needs through the governance and project process
  • Enable the business to get the maximum use from IS by keeping abreast of relevant IT developments

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the IT Salesforce Business Analyst you will have:

Essential

  • Diploma in Computing (or with a significant computing element) and/or Professional IT qualification or equivalent experience
  • Stakeholder management
  • Business analysis, including tools and techniques for information modelling, understanding business operations and customer needs
  • Requirements engineering
  • Provision of internal consultancy
  • Broad experience of working in IT support roles
  • Working with and managing third party suppliers
  • Assistive technology
  • Knowledge of demand management to enable optimal resourcing of the project portfolio
  • Knows how to make and sustain a business case through effective benefits management
  • User acceptance testing processes and techniques
  • Methods and techniques for developing business cases
  • Effective interpersonal, team-working and communication skills (both oral and in writing)
  • Able to convey complex technical issues to users and management
