Avalara is looking for an experienced Salesforce Communities Advocate that is excited to work on innovative strategic initiatives that help in increasing sales, improve customer satisfaction and enhance operations efficiency. Avalara has a focus on the customer and our team is looking for a seasoned individual that views Salesforce as a product, honing in on the internal and external user journeys with a deep understanding of how Salesforce can help make these experiences even better.
The Advocate will provide expertise in technical design, data & integration architecture for new business solutions & enhancements critical to Avalara's business growth. You will play an important role in understanding of what our end goal view is and translating that back into the capabilities of Salesforce Communities in helping achieve them. This role is a great opportunity to gain exposure to many areas of Avalara's business and be in the forefront to understand business challenges and provide innovative solutions to help our company scale.
Responsibilities
- Co-lead the development of our user journey end state, from both the external and internal user points of view
- Leverage the user journey end state to determine the points of interaction with Salesforce Communities, understanding the ins and outs of the experience
- Be a technical and journey experience in Salesforce Communities
- Contribute to the full project lifecycle from initiation, planning & execution to testing and rollout and heavily influence architecture, solutions, and the final designs
- Identify and validate technical design risks and develop mitigating approaches
Experience
- Excellent knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Communities etc
- Deep experience with Communities, Field Service Lightning and/or Einstein
- Experience in transitioning to Communities and starting from scratch
- Experience in building Salesforce solutions leveraging custom objects, workflows, process builders, flows, triggers, Apex code and/or LWC
- Experience with integrating Salesforce.com with 3rd party applications using SOAP, REST API, Middleware, etc
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams
