Job summary
Amazon Payments team is looking for a passionate, innovative, results-oriented Salesforce Developer to be developing solutions that drive the strategy to support CRM and Go-To-Market(GTM) operations globally(NA,EU,APAC). We’re handling massive scale, providing strategic data that drives the business operations internally. This role will be responsible for managing/supporting/enhancing/developing Salesforce processes, automations as well as integrations with backend services like AWS cloud, Informatica and other Amazon internal services.

Key job responsibilities
Own key technical aspects of the Salesforce platform, including Lightning Web Components, and apex triggers
  • Design/build/deploy new solutions and capabilities with new and existing Salesforce instances through SFDX, CodeCommit and Gearset
  • Develop in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components and other technologies to build customized solutions that support business requirements and drive key business decisions
  • Familiarity with the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) and leveraging pre-built SLDS components
  • Perform technical analysis and estimate level-of-effort to design, develop, and implement applications with necessary customizations and integration
  • Provide support across systems and related integrations native to the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Engage with cutting-edge technology systems, pioneering new software delivery methods and approaches, serving customers, and enabling large, distributed, worldwide educational program teams
  • Work directly with other engineering and product teams to identify opportunities to share learnings, technology, and best practices
  • Troubleshoot and fix defects for planned releases and production issues
  • Research and identify opportunities to utilize Salesforce best practices, improve system productivity, scaling, and monitoring
  • Eager to learn AWS tech stack

A day in the life
A Salesforce Developer works closely with the Salesforce product, buisness operations and development team to deliver product features via a hybrid Agile SDLC. You will own implementation solutions, work with Solution Architects, stakeholders, BIEs, and the development team to delight our internal operations partners.

Amazon Pay is a high growth startup business within Amazon. Started in 2015, Amazon Pay is now available in 18 countries, allowing buyers to leverage Amazon’s trusted, convenient, and rewarding wallet for 3rd party purchase experiences online, in-store, and with Alexa. In 2022, Amazon announced Buy with Prime—a new benefit for Prime members that will extend the convenience of Prime shopping to online stores beyond Amazon.com (http://amazon.com/). Merchants sign up for Buy with Prime, link an Amazon Seller Central account, use Multi-Channel Fulfillment to offer one pool of inventory for multiple channels, and link an Amazon Pay account to offer a seamless checkout experience for Prime members.Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of Salesforce development experience using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning component frameworks, triggers, batch apex, and Salesforce APIs
  • 3+ years Salesforce point and click configuration experience including including user management, roles/profiles, Permission Sets, custom objects, new page layouts, custom fields, formula fields, validations, workflows rules, email templates, Process Builder, Flows, Lightning Pages, Custom Metadata Types, Custom Settings, Managed Packages
  • Understanding of Salesforce application and data architecture, capabilities, and constraints coupled with understanding of business processes
  • Demonstrative success with at least one large custom-built Salesforce application
  • Integration experience, including knowledge of integration patterns and best practices
  • 1+ years contributing to architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Javascript knowledge; Basic/Intermediate HTML & CSS experience
  • Strong attention to detail, organization skills and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Sql

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator or equivalent experience
  • Certified Salesforce Platform App Builder or equivalent experience
  • Experience in writing business requirement documents, 3YP
  • Experience in CI/CD and release management
  • Experience with AWS services
  • Experience managing tools like Tableau(Data Visualization), Informatica(ETL)

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $129,200 - 174,800/yr., however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
