If you’d like to utilize your Salesforce expertise to serve a motivating mission, consider joining Guide Dogs for the Blind as Salesforce System Administrator. We raise and train puppies to become guide dogs for the blind and visually impaired – and having a robust CRM is essential to our operations. We’ll rely on you to configure, enhance, document, and maintain our dog/client/constituent/fundraising environment, currently comprised of Salesforce, Microsoft SQL Server, and third-party products, as well as provide end-user support and training.

What you’ll do:

· Execute Salesforce administrative function, including user maintenance, modification of page layouts, generation of reports and dashboards, Flow creation and modification

· Automate processes using Flow, validation rules, email/chatter alerts, and other techniques; migrate automations from process builder to Flow

· Assist data transfers between Guide Dogs for the Blind’s Salesforce orgs, SQL databases, and online web entry forms or external data sources

· Identify and resolve data integrity issues

· Manage standard Salesforce app integrations and processes

· Prepare new releases, complete maintenance activities, provide user training, and respond to help requests

· Plan and test upgrades and seasonal releases

· Analyze and implement requests for improvements or changes to the system

The qualifications you’ll need:

· Knowledge of Salesforce Administration and App Platform development techniques, including NPSP (Non-Profit Success Pack) functionality and configuration of applications, Lightning design, database programming, and computer systems

· Salesforce Explorer badge, completion of Trailhead online courses and/or Salesforce Admin, Advanced Admin or Platform App Developer certifications highly desirable

· Experience developing applications using Salesforce, SQL, or using a language such as apex, .Net or VBA is highly desirable

· Knowledge and experience designing and deploying software that complies with accessibility standards and is compatible with assistive technologies used by individuals who are blind or have visual impairment is highly desirable

· Ability to implement quality assurance, test and controls standards, and best practices

· This full-time position may be located on the California or Oregon campus or as remote work; occasional travel to work on site at GDB campuses required
