Position Summary
This position is responsible for advancing Karius Operational Excellence and will be responsible for leading initiatives in designing and building scalable business solutions within our commercial technology stack to support a best-in-class commercial team. In addition to strategic thought partnership needed, the Salesforce Admin is a hands-on role that will involve small to large complexity redesign/process improvement projects within Karius’ Salesforce.com instance. This role requires certification and tactical experience in Salesforce administration and development.

Reports to: Director, Commercial Strategy & Operations

Location: Redwood City, CA or Remote (USA)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead Salesforce projects in support of Commercial Operations team
  • Optimize the Salesforce user experience for commercial team members
  • Provide day to day administration and software development within a Salesforce environment including Automations (Sales Flows, Process Builder, Workflows, and Triggers), Lightning Components, APEX, Visualforce Pages, Lightning Controls and Support the creation of customizations and integrations required to solution delivery within a healthcare environment
  • Model new custom objects and fields to support business requirements
  • Create and maintain technical documentation surrounding data integrations and APIs to support operational/reporting processes
  • Develop Test classes and automation to validate business logic and avoid production issues
  • Identify areas within the Salesforce application configuration and/or code that can be refactored or redesigned for scale
  • Research Salesforce.com releases, updates, features and best practices. Make recommendations and provide a gap analysis.

Physical Requirements
Subject to extended periods of sitting and/or standing, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is generally performed in an office, lab or clinical environment.

Position Requirements

  • 3+ years of Salesforce administration and development experience with Automation (Sales Flows, Process Builder, Workflows), Lightning Components, Visualforce, Lightning Component frameworks, triggers, batch APEX and Salesforce APIs
  • 3+ years experience configuring Salesforce users workflows, validation rules, Lightning Flow, sales process setup, roles & profiles, reports, and dashboards
  • 3+ years of experience managing Salesforce Service Cloud and related omnichannel architecture
  • Understanding of the architecture, capabilities and constraints of Salesforce applications
  • Experience working in a regulatory environment and ability to ensure strict compliance with federal and state regulations (HIPAA, Stark, etc)

  • Familiarity with Agile, JIRA, Design Thinking, Lean Startup principles and project management tools
  • Experience managing Salesforce.com environment within the healthcare and life sciences industry
  • Salesforce Certification
  • Experience with HubSpot
