  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field
  • 3+ years of Salesforce development experience using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning component frameworks, triggers, batch apex and Salesforce APIs
  • 3+ years of experience in Salesforce point and click configuration using workflows, validation rules, sales process setup, roles & profiles, reports and dashboards
  • In-depth understanding of the architecture, capabilities and constraints of the Salesforce application coupled with good understanding of business processes
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications using SOAP, REST, BULK and Streaming APIs, including Mulesoft
  • Demonstrative success with at least two large Salesforce custom-built applications
  • Experience in building complex, scalable, and high-performance software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
Amazon's Devices and Digital Services is home to Amazon's 1P products (Echo, Fire TV, Kindle, Tablets) and Services (Alexa, Smart Home, etc.). Our growth is driving a rapid expansion of Salesforce usage. This role will drive automation of business processes and implement a cross-Devices Salesforce solution that spans 30+ Business Development teams. This role will be responsible for technical design/development, configuration, maintenance, and integration with other Amazon databases/systems.

A day in the life
The successful candidate must be able to work directly with the system, lead multiple technical projects or portions at one time, as well as provide solutions that are highly usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainable on the Force.com platform. They will be passionate about their work, self-motivated, detail oriented and have excellent problem solving abilities. They will deal with highly ambiguous problems, taking full control and responsibility for finding solutions, and will drive towards simple solutions to complex problems.

  • Ownership of all technical aspects of Salesforce.com, including development, data migrations, systems integrations, AppExchange products, and custom code
  • Responsible for developing in Visualforce, Apex, Java, Lightning Components, and other technologies to build customized solutions that support business requirements and drive key business decisions
  • Technical leadership, setting best practices including integration and application development, deployment, testing (unit and systems), and iterative refinement
  • Adhere to team sprint process and scrum implementation to deliver iterative and continuous solutions
  • Learn and utilize internal Amazon tools to integrate data sources and adhere to security compliance.

  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning component frameworks, triggers, batch apex and Salesforce APIs at a large organization
  • 5+ years of experience in Salesforce point and click configuration using workflows, validation rules, sales process setup, roles & profiles, reports and dashboards at a large organization
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
  • Certified Salesforce Platform Developer II (PDII) or equivalent experience
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator or equivalent experience
  • Certified Salesforce Platform App Builder or equivalent experience
  • Experience in writing business requirement documents
