Salesforce AWS Specialist, Account Executive

Since 2016, Salesforce and AWS have been building a world-class strategic partnership. Together, our companies have already launched numerous products that combine services from both providers across phone, digital channels, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data, including Service Cloud Voice, Private Connect, Government Cloud Plus, and Intelligent Document Automation. In 2020, Salesforce announced Hyperforce, a reimagination of the company’s platform architecture to run on the major public clouds, including AWS.

This year, we announced an expansion of our AWS partnership, which will make it even easier for customers to combine capabilities from the world’s leading cloud provider and the #1 CRM platform while minimizing the custom integration code required. Our partnership unlocks a Unified Developer Experience, allowing developers to use both platforms to build and launch custom applications, natively leverage AWS services in Salesforce, and securely connect data and workflows across both Salesforce and AWS. Customers can also innovate faster with pre-built Intelligent Applications that combine AWS and Salesforce Customer 360 – making it easier for organizations to seamlessly deploy AWS’s voice, video, and AI services natively with Salesforce business apps. With the addition of Slack as the productivity layer of the C360, we are unlocking a whole new level of value for our customers, across the entire stack.


Salesforce is building a team of GTM AWS Specialists who will masterfully illustrate the full power of the Salesforce and AWS strategic partnership for our customers. The GTM AWS Specialists will be deeply involved in our most strategic accounts, positioning our joint solutions to help customers unleash the full power of Salesforce + AWS. The Specialist will supercharge account strategies by providing insight into how customers can maximize the benefit of Salesforce and AWS technology investments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evangelize the Salesforce and AWS Strategic Partnership to customers and prospects

  • Engage in solution-oriented and technical discussions with potential customers (Director, VP, and C Level)

  • Manage and support a full-lifecycle sales process for joint AWS + Salesforce Solutions

  • Identify appropriate business contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline

  • Respond to customer inquiries and requests

  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships to maximize future revenue opportunities

  • Able to be in territory 1-2 times per month, up to 4-5 days at a time

  • Work with extended team to inform content for customer-facing assets and seller tools

Desired Skills:

  • 7+ years of technology-based field sales experience

  • B2B experience in the Software / SaaS environment

  • Knowledge and experience working with Salesforce

  • Knowledge and experience working with AWS and AWS Marketplace

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment

  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative, prioritize, and manage time effectively

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing, Computer Science/Math or related field is strongly preferred
