Barbizon’s completed projects span from the spire crowning the top of NYC’s One World Trade Center to many K thru 12 and higher education facilities throughout the country. Additional work includes broadcast facilities for NBC, ABC, CBS, ESPN, CNN, MSNBC, FOX, and Telemundo. In addition, Barbizon builds, renovates, or restores many of the world’s premier entertainment, sports, and cultural institutions, including Madison Square Garden, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Smithsonian, Carrier Dome, Steven Tanger Center, and Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center. Barbizon’s technology and social media clients include projects for Google, Facebook, YouTube, and Apple. National and corporate clients include Disney, AMC Theaters, Carnival Cruises, Lowes, and Salesforce.

Barbizon is often engaged on public works projects, including the LIRR Penn Station Entrance, Samuel-De Champlain Bridge, TWA Flight Center, and the Pawtucket Bridge.

Barbizon Lighting Company’s largest shareholder is our employee group, who currently owns 51% of the company (via an Employee Stock Ownership Program through which we continue our evolution from a family-owned company to an employee-owned company).

In a Nutshell: Experienced Salesforce technology professional with significant platform experience to help our company launch and continuously improve our Salesforce implementation. Through Salesforce, this professional will help us transform how we sell and deliver our high-quality products and services. The Salesforce Administrator will work closely with our Product Owner, business analyst, and senior business leaders to identify, develop and deploy new business processes. S/he will also be responsible for the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of the platform.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of both the Salesforce technology platform and sales/customer service best practices. They should be comfortable with change management and governance and particularly adept at communications. Salesforce certification is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the optimal performance of Salesforce systems and products.
  • Upgrading and configuring Salesforce systems for optimized integration.
  • Manage users, licenses, entitlements, data access rules and security
  • Implement Salesforce configuration changes including (but not limited to): Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile
  • Manage the sandbox environment
  • Identify and gather requirements, translate into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience
  • Identify unused or underutilized platform features
  • Create a platform roadmap and define priorities, liaising with stakeholders
  • Formally communicate platform changes to end-users and stakeholders
  • Perform data management to improve Salesforce data quality and implement rules and automation as needed
  • Proactively maintain the system including security reviews, release updates, and health checks
  • Develop and maintain user support process
  • Monitor and improve user adoption
  • Conduct new user and ongoing user training
  • Maintain technical and process documentation
  • Work with integrated applications (including Microsoft 365 and Sage 100 ERP)
  • Importing data, as well as building custom reports and dashboards

Requirements

  • Strong Salesforce product knowledge and at least 2+ years of Salesforce Administration hands-on experience with Sales Cloud
  • Certified Salesforce Advanced Administrator required
  • Additional Salesforce certifications are a plus
  • Trailhead Badges/Super Badges
  • Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes
  • Superior interpersonal and people skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical problem solver
  • Organized, with an eye for detail; self-starter

The salary range for a Salesforce Administrator at Barbizon Lighting is currently $70K to $120K per annum, depending upon experience. Please be aware extensive lighting industry experience or specific skills that fully match or exceed what is required, may in fact also increase this range to compensate for that expanded expertise.
