Position Summary:

As a Salesforce Developer, you will work in conjunction with the Salesforce Development Team to build high performing solutions for complex business needs. Depending on the nature of the project, you will be required to perform custom development and/or configure the solution within the Salesforce platform and may be called on to assist with activities like testing and documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior members of the team to understand business requirements, translating those requirements into customized solutions using the Salesforce platform
  • Write clean and efficient code
  • Implement Salesforce solutions that adhere to platform best practices. Typical Salesforce work includes custom platform development in the full suite of Salesforce programmatic tools (Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, etc.) and declarative tools (Flows, Lightning pages and apps, security and sharing settings, etc.)
  • Participate in development workstreams, from design through testing and deployment
  • With dev leaders, assist in the estimation of work effort and set a realistic schedule for development
  • Maintain effective business relations and rapport - delivering timely and relevant information with the ability to quickly identify and report problems and delays
  • Post-delivery - perform handoff and knowledge transfer activities to support teams

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 1 year experience with programming Languages – Apex and Visualforce
  • Minimum of 6 months experience with customization on the Salesforce Lightning platform which should include: Lightning Components using the Lightning Design System framework, Apex, Apex data loader, and declarative platform tools. (Lightning Flows, Process Builder, Lightning App Builder, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Development experience using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWCs), VisualForce, Triggers, Batch Apex, and other programmatic solutions on the Salesforce platform
  • Configuration experience using the Salesforce point-and-click application administration interface
  • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Design, database design, and software development lifecycle
  • Ability to perform automated testing and write unit tests
  • Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies and tools such as Scrum, Jira, Rally, or Agile Accelerator

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with common JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React, etc.
  • Experience developing for Salesforce Communities and CPQ
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and be creative within a team
  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing (SaaS, PaaS) and Salesforce, either through work at industry participants or consulting to the industry
  • Familiarity with Copado or other Salesforce devops tools

Preferred Credentials:

  • Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification
  • Salesforce Lightning Component Framework Specialist (Trailhead Super Badge)
  • Salesforce Lightning Experience Specialist (Trailhead Super Badge)
