Our Lincoln, RI office is seeking a Salesforce Software Engineer who will develop, test and implement IT solutions using existing and emerging Salesforce technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize and maintain established processes, tools, technologies and concepts that best leverage the Salesforce platform, using agile methodologies.
  • Participate in or lead technical design sessions in order to create and optimize business processes to be integrated across multiple systems.
  • Develop technical solution documentation aligned with the business objectives.
  • Translate business requirements into well architected solutions, interacting with appropriate areas as needed.
  • Advise on risks and/or benefits of specific solutions.
  • Remain current with Salesforce product and technical capabilities resulting from scheduled releases, acquisitions and Salesforce App Exchange tools.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce team members as well as across other teams and multiple business units to complete work in a timely manner.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to other IT personnel.
  • Provide coverage and support of production Salesforce systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years development experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Committed to continuous learning and maintaining the required Salesforce Developer certification.
  • Experienced development experience with Salesforce specific technologies.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed in all aspects of the job particularly in the ability to research and self-teach in areas where formal training is not available.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively break down and prioritize work independently.
  • Ability to identify challenges and risks to the completion of work and effectively communicate those to the appropriate personnel.
  • Capable of completing routine work independently including conducting research and using appropriate problem-solving skills. Research and use appropriate problem-solving skills, seeking assistance from others only in more unfamiliar situations.
  • Basic understanding of impacts of changes across teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within the section, assigned project teams, and other impacted sections or project teams to provide details about planned work, completed work and next steps.
