Position Summary:

The Salesforce Architect will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, implementation and support of all Salesforce orgs across the enterprise, encompassing 13 countries, 13 languages/dialects, and multiple currencies. This position will play a key role in the design and development of Salesforce capabilities necessary for the evolution of Salesforce, applications, and associated interfaces, including requirements gathering for implementation of new capabilities. Support efforts will include integrating with other Salesforce orgs within Aramark and third-party applications both domestically and internationally.

Essential Functions:

The Salesforce teams develops, deploys and maintains multiple orgs that are used throughout Aramark's global operations. These include sales, marketing, and service. This person will report to the Salesforce IT Lead Engineer and will principally support the orgs while advancing key business objectives of our diverse set of business leaders and teams. Including but not limited to the review of specifications and functional requirements gathered from a varied collection of business teams. This person will interact regularly with members of both the field-based and HQ-based user community, a remote-based/off-shore development team, peer IT teams and have regular interactions with members of the LOB and in-country business partners. Coordination across all teams is required to ensure that support and incident management is carried out in a proper fashion and that requirements and change requests are understood and implemented as planned. Excellent Salesforce technical skills, such as design, development, performance tuning, are essential to succeed in this role.

Detailed responsibilities include:
  • Architect, design, develop, maintain and support Salesforce environments
  • Lead requirements gathering workshops, analyze and document business requirements, architect designs and build solutions
  • Key player in developing roadmaps for multiple Salesforce environments
  • Coordinate efforts with other members of the Salesforce IT teams to review and validate requirements and evaluate technical feasibilities
  • Engage with 3rd Party providers and Salesforce to ensure best practices are enforced
  • Provide technical guidance on Salesforce development including APEX, Batch, Integration and Lightning frameworks
  • Provide guidance on quality engineering which includes test class and automation frameworks
  • Provide training, guidance and insights to leadership
  • Working with teams to setup and maintain a continuously improving DevOps methods and practices
  • Support a growing set of critical Salesforce environments during and outside of business hours
  • Coordinate with various on-shore / off-shore teams
  • Performing code reviews and ensure standards are being adhered to and established SDLC processes are being followed as well as assess ways to improve code performance
  • Responsible for code promotion and deployment processes
  • Provide direct assistance to business teams and leaders for ad-hoc requests
  • Attendance at Dreamforce team events and meetings

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a similar discipline is required
  • Salesforce certified Administrator ideally with either Technical architect or Solution architect
  • 5+ years experience in a large organization, with a proven track record of successful delivery of Salesforce solutions
  • 3+ years of experience in solutioning designs as a Salesforce technical architect
  • Problem-solving skills and application to IT issues. Conducts a complete diagnosis of most business problems, factoring in a strong understanding of the technical architecture. Anticipates implementation obstacles.
  • Experience of managing multiple Salesforce Communities is required
  • Understanding of Salesforce data model and data architecture principles are required
  • Understanding of declarative capabilities, and ability to determine right customization approach is required
  • Experience with driving adoption with the Salesforce Mobile app
  • Experience with implementing and management of managed packages are required
  • Experience in Advanced Currency Management and Parenthetical Currency Conversion environments including manage dated exchange rates are required
  • Experience in Translation Workbench is required
  • Experience with Informatica Cloud and/or SnapLogic is preferred
  • Team player with excellent communication skills are required
