General Purpose:

Contract position for a skilled Salesforce professional who can function in a hybrid role of an Administrator with some Developer skills/duties. This individual is passionate about creating solutions on the Salesforce platform and through configuration of the Fonteva Association Management System (AMS). The Fonteva AMS, built on Salesforce, is the focal point of Brewers Association (BA) membership/CRM business processes and data. This position requires strong working knowledge of the Salesforce platform and ecosystem including all administration, platform tools, configurable settings, app exchange, and 3rd party integration using Connected Apps. The Salesforce Administrator collaborates across all BA staff including the IT department (Director, software developers, database and system administrators), internal technical partners like the Web department, membership team and all staff users.

Essential Duties:

  • Primary point of contact, support, and escalation between Fonteva, Salesforce, IT department, Web department, BA staff and all vendors integrated with the Salesforce platform.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather & analyze requirements and propose solutions that leverage Fonteva application and Salesforce platform.
  • Maintain and extend all integrations including web APIs, Single Sign On (SSO), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Aventri events management, Map Your Show exhibitor management, and the BA's custom competition system.
  • Develop and maintain process automation primarily through Salesforce process builder.
  • Build, extend or redesign new and existing Salesforce processes using tools such as API integration, APEX, Visualforce, and Lightning Components.
  • Manage all users, data, and security.
  • Create, maintain and train staff in report and dashboard development.
  • Maintain system backups and refresh sandbox environments.
  • Test and deploy updates to both the Salesforce and Fonteva environments.
  • Maintain data quality and adoption reports and provide feedback on overall system usage.
  • Provide end user training as needed.
  • Keep abreast of new of new Fonteva and Salesforce features and functionality. Provide recommendations for business process and data management improvements.
  • Pursue ongoing education and training in all aspects of Fonteva, Salesforce and IT industry best practices.

Other Duties

  • Conduct research on new integration or solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Assist IT Director with budgeting and project management for all Fonteva and Salesforce projects.


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Strong Salesforce knowledge of and experience with:
    • Administrative best practices across security, integrations, data and application extensions
    • Sales Cloud Case Management
    • End to end business process automation with Process Builder.
    • SOQL, SOSL, web services (REST) and Visualforce/APEX
    • Lightning and Einstein Analytics
    • Salesforce API's and Connected Apps, especially using SAML and OpenID
    • Object management, advanced reporting, and formula fields
    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud integration (preferred)
  • 2+ years as Salesforce Administrator or Developer
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator certification
  • Fonteva AMS (a strong plus)
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator certification (preferred)
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I certification (preferred)
  • Agile development environment (preferred)
  • Web technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON, aura and Ajax (preferred)
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborative and solution oriented, being both customer-centric and service minded, and able to interact with all levels of users from frontline staff to senior management.
  • Strong self-motivation and ability work independently.
  • Excellent multitasking ability.
  • Creative problem-solving ability.
  • Strong desire for continuous learning.

Travel Required:

Travel to Great American Beer Festival® and other events/conferences as assigned.
