GitHub is looking for a full-time Salesforce Administrator as Business Systems Analyst focusing in Sales Technology to join our Business Systems team to help expand and maintain our Salesforce.com and its ecosystem.

The Role

Your role will be to help implement, administer, and optimize our business systems including Salesforce and assist with business process designs, system implementations, change management, training and compliance.

You'll partner with other awesome teams here at GitHub, such as Sales Operations, Sales Tools and Efficiency, Sales Enablement, Professional Services to transform their challenges into systems-driven solutions. Collectively, we're a resourceful bunch that enjoys mastering new and sometimes difficult subject matter, striving for efficient and effective processes, and working collaboratively to improve our systems.

Our primary customers are our internal business partners. We pride ourselves on making sure they are set up to be successful. Documentation, cross functional communication and leadership is key. You should be equally comfortable configuring or providing excellent customer service.

Functions and Responsibilities:

Business Analysis:

  • Serve as the primary contact with end-users to troubleshoot issues.
  • Re-engineer existing processes and build new processes to support business functions.
  • Assist with data management, reporting/dashboard requirements and data uploads as and when necessary.
  • Create/update data dictionaries, and flow diagrams as needed. Document business process/data flows.
  • Conduct the user acceptance testing by creating test plans, test cases. Also coordinate with the engineering team to establish necessary testing environments.

Salesforce Administration:

  • Own the day-to-day support activities that support Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Tools and Efficiency, Sales Enablement, Marketing Operations and other teams as needed.
  • Perform the day-to-day configuration and data load activities to support Salesforce platform.
  • Perform configuration of Product Bundles, Price and Product Rules, Discount Schedules, Guided Selling, Approval Rules
  • Perform user onboarding / offboarding, profile, role, permission, queue, approval processes and assignment rules management.
  • Write SOQL queries to analyze the data and perform Data Loads

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • 3 years of experience with Salesforce administration in lightning and classic.
  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.
  • Expert understanding of the Sales, Marketing, Customer Support business processes.
  • Proficient with utilizing Salesforce sandboxes for enhancements, troubleshooting and use case testing.
  • Experience documenting and maintaining business, functional, and/or technical requirements.
  • Ability to manage and cleanse Salesforce data using various data management tools (e.g. DemandTools, Prodly Moover)
  • Experience with Salesforce admin tools (e.g. Workbench, Data Loader)
  • Must be able to interact at all levels of the company. Good people skills are a must
  • Self-motivated and disciplined with excellent communication and organization skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred

  • 2 years of experience with Salesforce CPQ (Steelbrick) administration (e.g. product configuration, product and price rules)
  • Salesforce.com certification (Administrator, Sales Cloud)
  • Experience working with a distributed team across time zones.
  • FinancialForce experience
  • Git or GitHub experience
  • Project management experience
(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $61,300 to maximum $130,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
  • Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired in Colorado.
