What’s the opportunity?
We’re looking for a Salesforce DevOps Architect to work with Gearset’s most strategic customers to help them adopt DevOps to get the most from their Salesforce investment. This highly technical role involves guiding customers from the point of purchase through successfully using Gearset to drive DevOps within their Salesforce team. This will involve working with the customer to understand their business objectives in bringing in Gearset, having a deep understanding of the way their team wants to work, and providing post-sales onboarding and consultation to help them achieve their goals. This role requires a deep understanding of how great software is built - from agile collaboration techniques through to effective source control strategies and continuous integration models.
You’ll work in a cross-functional team of developers, salespeople, and marketers. By combining technical expertise and commercial awareness, you’ll make our customers successful and help us drive the growth of the business forwards. Your close user contact will also feed into our ongoing product development, and be the voice of users throughout the company.
You’ll be a good fit if you have:
- A deep practical knowledge of the Salesforce platform, either as an advanced admin, developer or architect
- In-depth knowledge of the enterprise Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) architecture, tools and workflows
- A technical predisposition and the desire to learn, and the ability to convey complex technical topics with simplicity
- The ability to build effective long-term relationships with customers, supporting them throughout their life cycle with Gearset
- Experience working with large or complex technical teams and developing outcome-oriented implementation plans to meet our customer’s goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a keen eye for detail
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent direct work experience would be a bonus
Working at Gearset, you will:
- Be a technical champion for Gearset’s strategic customers, tackling the most complex challenges in Salesforce DevOps and drawing on your deep knowledge of the platform to provide thought leadership and technical excellence which results in effective adoption of our product
- Work closely with our sales and customer success team, owning the technical relationship for new customers as you transition them from implementation to ongoing account management
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, staying up to date on the ever-evolving state of Salesforce DevOps and Gearset
- Run effective product training sessions for new and long-time customers, presenting to experienced and senior stakeholders to showcase the app and advise on how to best use it
- Be a customer champion, ensuring their views are represented in the company and driving continual improvement in user satisfaction
- Support renewals and expansion opportunities from our existing customers
- Recommend product improvements based on user feedback and help shape the direction of the app

- You'll work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, in our Cambridge office or remote within UK
- Salary is £55,000 - £80,000, depending on experience
