Reports To: Business Insurance Sales Leader

Summary

Under the direction of the sales leader, this position provides support for the sales team for all items related to Salesforce.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • General sales support to producers and sales leaders:
  • Using various internal and external resources, research information and gather data to create lead lists for producers to assist them in their prospecting efforts including preparing for calls, meetings, company-wide prospecting campaigns or programs.
  • Assist producers with analysis and forecasts using internal software.
  • Provide support with compiling, running and reconciling reports, from different internal sources, for sales leaders.
  • Provide administrative support on special projects and tasks for the sales leader.
  • Basic administration of Salesforce Database under the supervision of the Salesforce Administrator:
  • Provide immediate responsiveness to day-to-day end-users requests: password resets, account management and data entry, troubleshooting.
  • Monitor and maintain data quality and integrity: clean and update data as needed.
  • Run weekly, monthly, quarterly reports as needed; track activity and new business and reconcile with client management database.
  • Conduct Salesforce trainings, including initial training for new users, refreshers for current users and any necessary training on enhancements or additions to the system.
  • Reinforces utilization of Salesforce and other platforms to ensure pipeline and activity are accurately recorded. Frequently updates activity in database to help producers have their performance numbers prepared for quarterly reviews.
  • Works with leadership to develop dashboard and reports for local leadership meetings
  • Monitors campaign data and alerts producers of potential follow up opportunities while ensuring the correct producers are assigned in the CRM.
  • Identifies areas of improvement in data integrity
  • Stays informed on advancements and developments of all technology platforms and serves as a lead troubleshooter for any technical issues.
  • Works with the national Salesforce team to support technology adoption and to enhance utilization by providing recurring communication to sales team

Education and/or Experience

Successful candidate will be a service/support oriented individual with high personal standards and a hands-on work style. This position requires an individual who is analytical and detailed oriented, a strategic thinker who is also comfortable working at a varying pace, managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously, adjusting priorities often, and managing frequent interruptions.

This position interacts with, provides service to a large group of internal associates, and has some level of contact with external vendors.

  • Successful work history to include 2 years’ experience in a professional office setting directly related to job responsibilities specified above.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office applications with advanced skill in Excel and the ability to operate standard office equipment is required.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems with no or little direction and present results neatly, with clarity and precision in oral and written form.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
  • Maintain a valid Driver’s License and have reliable transportation.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Ability to use computer keyboard and sit in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Work is performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • 5% travel may be required.
  • Extended work hours (10 – 12 hrs/day) required on occasion due fluctuation in work load.
