Position Summary
EducationDynamics is a marketing and enrollment management services and technology company dedicated to connecting students with the right school for them. We are higher education experts and full-funnel marketers who live and breathe data, optimization, and results.

The Senior Salesforce Engineer designs and develops technical solutions, as well as provides support for the business stakeholders to maintain a stable and successful CRM platform for our Enrollment Management contact center division. We are seeking a dynamic problem solver, strong communicator, and self-motivated individual to join our team as the technical leader and subject matter expert for our growing Salesforce ecosystem. The ideal candidate has a passion and interest for creating software to solve business problems, as well as the ability to be highly organized and detail oriented. This position reports to the Senior Director of Software Development.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and develop technical solutions in Salesforce, as well as related external platforms and integration tools.
  • Perform Salesforce administration tasks in line with platform and industry best practices as well as internally established standards.
  • Work directly with business stakeholders to analyze and troubleshoot issues and process breakdowns.
  • Work with technical decisions makers to suggest and help implement architecture and process improvements.
  • Work directly with external clients and vendors to implement new features and integrations.
  • Manage a task priority queue and occasionally assign appropriate tasks to team members.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive Salesforce administration experience, including by not limited to - User Management, Page Layouts, Profiles, Roles, Field Level Security, Object Level Security, Templates, Permission Sets, Sharing Rules, Community Portal and Record Types.
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce customizations, including by not limited to Process Builder, Visualforce Pages, Visualforce Components, Workflows, Triggers, Validation Rules, Lightning App Builder and Custom Objects.
  • Experience working with batch processing and scheduled jobs in the Salesforce platform.
  • Knowledge and experience in Salesforce integrations and web services development, including Salesforce API and third-party cloud integration platforms such as Zapier.
  • Hands on experience with APEX code development, SOQL and Salesforce Data Loader.
  • Working knowledge of typical SDLC processes as well as Salesforce platform technology best practices and coding standards.
  • Preferred certifications - Salesforce Platform Developer and Salesforce Admin
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Interested in playing an active role in creating and nurturing innovative solutions for complex and rapidly changing business problems.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering (or another related field) or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years experience of IT industry experience in a highly technical role.
