  • The Marketing Automation Technical Operations (MATO) team operates within and supports Client’s global Digital Marketing organization. Our technology, processes, and staff support a large percentage of Client’s Lead Generation pipeline, along with maintaining and synchronizing Email Preferences across the company’s technology infrastructure, among other key Product and Services offerings.

What Are We Looking For?
  • MATO is seeking an experienced Technical Quality Assurance Architect who can work within a product team, including Technical Architect, Solution Architect, Business Systems Analyst, Project Manager, and QA, to build and deliver custom solutions for our internal stakeholders, be they in Sales, Marketing, M&A or Operations, and across the ecosystem of technology that we use and support.
  • Successful TQA candidates will be working directly in and around the Client Marketing Cloud platform with a primary focus on testing solutions of varying degrees of complexity and scope while supporting concurrent project releases. This role will have a strong M&A focus as we work to integrate systems and processes into our SClient instance. Responsibilities include testing and designing complex test case solutions, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics. TQAs are expected to become technical subject matter experts within multiple specialized areas of the applications and ecosystem we work in. Our TQA will be an on-call experts in their supported areas, deliver fixes and solutions in a swift & thorough manner, and call out areas of improvement across the team. Supported by both our Solution Architects as well as Technical Architects, our TQA will work closely with our broader solution team to test, troubleshoot, bring live, implement, and evolve complex solutions supporting our global marketing & sales pipelines as well as other internal programs.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Designing a comprehensive testing and auditing strategy to be used across all projects/implementations and execute upon it
  • Understand the business as well as technical objectives in any given project and ensure that is what is being delivered upon.
  • Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities
  • Scoping / Validation of technical solutions as needed for the Marketing Technology Operations team.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs as well as perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Lead inter-team meetings on the technical and business challenges related to our Marketing Operations initiatives.
  • Understand and map Business Processes & Challenges into our technical product suite, ensuring scalable, secure, comprehensive solution designs.
  • Work with Solution Architects (SA) to implement and test solutions to our operational needs and challenges.
  • Build and follow complex BRD/FSD (Blueprints) that aligns to the as-is Client Marketing Cloud solution, and overall system / integration environments at Client.
  • Identify project issues / risks and present alternatives to alleviate or resolve.
  • Implement high-level overviews of the Client Marketing Cloud architecture and integration capabilities.
  • Document solutions and engineering flowcharts with great attention to detail.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert in one or more areas of our Business & Technical process.

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Understanding of scripting languages or programming experience such as AMPScript, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX, HTML/CSS.
  • Proficient working with SQL, experience with a RDBMS such as MySQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server preferred.
  • Highly proficient in Google Docs, MS Office Suite, Quip, Slack.
  • Expert Knowledge in SClient with 2+ years direct experience in the platform with Enterprise size clients.
  • Expert Knowledge around Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Cloud Pages, Contact Builder, Data Extracts, Tracking and Reporting within SClient
  • Highly efficient team player, with the ability to also work independently in a fast-paced, fluid environment
  • Excellent strategic & technical thinking. Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, able to present complex concepts effectively at both the tactical and strategic / executive levels.

Preferences:
  • Preference will be given to applicants with one or more of the following:
  • Certifications - Marketing Cloud certifications strongly preferred (Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Consultant). Similar certifications against other MAPs a plus (Pardot, Eloqua). Client Sales Cloud Administration Certification, Marketing Cloud Admin and/or Marketing Cloud Developer
  • Experience with developing QA process and templates
