The Developer role will be responsible for supporting the custom code for a Salesforce based application as well as developing new functionality in a DevOps environment within Syngenta's growing IT organization. The role is part of a team responsible for the development of Salesforce.com software solutions through configuration, customization and integration with multiple data sources. Responsibilities will include implementing solutions through the development of high quality APEX and Aura code, adhering to coding best practices, and collaborating with Regional and Global IT teams to identify solutions for business process changes or requirements.

This opportunity has location flexibility in or near our Greensboro, NC or Chicago or Downers Grove, IL sites.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered 
  • Expert knowledge of the Technologies used within Salesforce.com 
  • Demonstrable directly-related experience of software development in a commercial environment 
  • Minimum 24 months in design, coding and testing with SFDC software 
  • Excellent communication skills as well as stakeholder management skills to deliver solution services in a critical to business operational environment
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in software development with 2 years’ experience in applied Technical development for SalesForce.com solutions
  • Practical working experience of applying agile development approaches, methods, including release and sprint planning and execution 
  • Ability to work independently as well in a highly collaborative, team-based
Preferred Technical Skills: 
  • Salesforce: Salesforce CRM, Lightning Application, Apex, Aura, Visualforce Pages/Components, Apex Web Services, SOQL
  • Salesforce Tools: Eclipse, Force.com Eclipse IDE Plug-in, Force.com Explorer, Change Sets, Force.com Import Wizard
  • Integrating Tools: Apex Data Loader, Import Wizard, Data Export, Mass Delete
  • Languages: Apex, Aura, Java, C, C++, SQL, SOQL, SOSL.
  • J2EE Technologies
  • Web Technologies Databases: SQL Server, My SQL, MS Access, DB2
