Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Administration
- Ownership and accountability of daily Salesforce administration tasks and maintenance, including configuring objects, fields, page layouts, automation, validation rules, etc.
- Provide expert knowledge of the data management tools related to Salesforce (Process Builder, Data Loader, Flow)
- Support Salesforce integrations - both configuration of new system integrations and ongoing support of current system integrations (Marketo, SalesLoft, Lusha, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gainsight, etc.)
- Monitor Salesforce maintenance and alerts to ensure optimal functionality
- Understand the full reporting and dashboard capabilities of Salesforce and generate reports on the effectiveness of internal processes and tools
- Use industry standard best practices for a robust end-to-end production process (sandboxes, changesets, etc.)
- Review Salesforce’s tri-yearly releases and understand how they will impact the business
- Manage daily workload with larger projects; anticipate problems or delays and have contingencies in place
- Engage and handle suppliers that contribute to the maintenance and evolution of Salesforce
- Work with team leads to identify and recommend ways to grow their teams’ effectiveness on a day to day basis, streamlining and automating as many business processes as possible
End-User Support
- Own BAU queries for 100+ end-users
- Prepare and update end-user training documentation
- Lead training sessions for new and current colleagues
- Set up new users, creating new user profiles as necessary and monitoring access levels and permissions
- Attend business unit team meetings as necessary to provide updates on Salesforce initiatives
Project Management
- Requirements gathering, project planning, Salesforce configuration, testing, training, and rollout
- Actively participate in system testing, evaluating the effectiveness and roll-out of improvements
Key Attributes, Skills, and Experience
- ADM 201 certification required
- 2-3 years of Salesforce Administration experience
- Degree in the relevant field an advantage
- Salesforce Lightning and Sales Cloud experience essential
- Demonstrable experience administering Salesforce including configuration and customisation
- Experience in using the Microsoft office suite. Intermediate level in Excel with an emphasis on data manipulation such as vlookups, pivot tables, fuzzy logic.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and objectives to manage time effectively
- Methodical, being able to assess and evaluate technical issues to identify causes and communicate solutions
- Awareness of third party solution providers for Salesforce (AppExchange)
- Good knowledge of data management, including data capture, cleansing, migration, and security
- Understanding of change management processes
- Strong stakeholder management skills & experience in gathering business requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extremely organised and detail-oriented; clinical follow-through is essential
- Enthusiastic, with the initiative, ambition, and commitment to make a clear impact on the business
- Key team player, this role involves liaising with internal teams regularly
