Tech Product Director - CRM

GSK Tech is undergoing a fundamental transformation building new, advanced capabilities in Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, AI/ML, Data & Analytics, Software Engineering and Product Management.

In particular, Pharma DDA and Tech is embarking upon a transformation of both itself and the Digital capabilities of the Pharma Commercial organisation. The existing Commercial Channels and Technology Leadership Team is responsible for Product Management, UX (User eXperience) and Design – and a new Senior Director role has been created to ensure clear accountability for increasing value, improving flow and enhancing quality for Tech products, in alignment with the Commercial strategy and across different Therapy Areas/Markets.

This Product Director role has Tech ownership for our CRM (Veeva & Salesforce products) and you will be directly impacting the way our Tech Engineering teams are working in prioritising and implementing change in features and capabilities in Tech solutions, which in turn will increase performance and product launch effectiveness in-market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead your matrix teams in developing vision, strategy and roadmap for your product, aligned to a clear North-star metric and KPIs, defensible to business leaders and yourself

  • Assist the Product Family Director in the creation of Product Family roadmaps and other deliverables

  • Support Engineering teams to become effective team members that ship valuable work, focused on data-driven decision making and customer centricity

  • Understand your customer’s needs better than anyone, through a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis.

  • Work with colleagues from multi-disciplinary backgrounds to set a clear and cohesive strategy for your product area, whilst still maintaining space to incorporate new ideas along the journey

  • Rigorously apply the scientific method and lean start-up thinking to set hypotheses, design experiments, test assumptions and break-down complex problems into smaller chunks to deliver a more valuable product to your customers

  • Measure the impact of all new work released on your roadmap, close the value loop and ensure adoption

  • Work as a servant-leader, reducing dependencies, removing blockers and co-ordinating with other product teams and key leaders

  • Maintain high credibility and deliver real value by shipping product that make our users’ lives 10x easier

  • Act as a leader to enhance and elevate Product Management within GSK Tech

  • Act as the single point of accountability to make sure your product is performing to maintain high levels of satisfaction with customers around all aspects of the product (BAU and growth).

  • Experience leading and maintaining a CRM commercial roadmap (Veeva & Salesforce)

  • Act as the single point of accountability to make sure your product is performing to maintain high levels of satisfaction with customers around all aspects of the product (BAU and growth).

  • You have led teams that have developed successful software products from concept to adoption

  • You are passionate about developing people and maintaining high levels of engagement

  • You have a broad and detailed understanding of product management techniques including customer development, discovery & primary research, lean start-up method and industrialisation/scaling-up

  • You’ve defined your own North-star Metric, KPIs sets and run your product teams using OKRs

  • You know how to create and balance a healthy-tension between Product, UX & Design and Engineering

  • You have proven experience in onboarding yourself and getting up to speed quickly on new products

  • You have enough technical knowledge to understand your team’s software products

  • You are flexible enough to take on new products and technologies to help deliver your customers jobs to be done quickly

  • You are able to set and handle expectations effectively at all levels of a matrix organisation
