Summary: The position will work closely with Sales & Marketing, Customer Support, and digital engineering teams to understand the digital roadmap and create the Salesforce platform architecture to help deliver on the strategic objectives. This role will require hands-on development of solutions ranging from proof-of-concepts to mission-critical system components. The Salesforce Developer will also be responsible for optimizing and tuning the application performance and identify ongoing areas for non-functional improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Build custom functionality and integrations on the Salesforce platforms
  • Help develop the roadmap strategy, vision, business benefits, and prioritization of goals for omnichannel experience, focusing on strategic growth initiatives
  • Maintain deep understanding of initiatives to develop feature requirements and work alongside product, development, and line of business teams to determine technical feasibility
  • Keep up to date with Salesforce releases and trends, and explore new and effective offerings or enhancements that will improve adoption and utilization of the platform
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage timelines and frequent product iterations
  • Use instrumentation and monitoring tools to analyze and react to the performance of the Salesforce platform
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for development related to Salesforce products

Required Qualifications:

  • Expertise building custom functionality using Apex, Lightning Components, SOQL, Visualforce to extend the functionality of Salesforce CRM
  • Experience with Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and other Salesforce products
  • Experience in migrating data and code across multiple Salesforce orgs
  • Experience using integration tools such as Mulesoft, Informatica, Apache NiFi between Salesforce products and other enterprise information systems
  • Diverse experience utilizing external SOAP and REST APIs
  • Expertise utilizing source control and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment to maintain and deploy custom functionality
  • Expertise in data structures, algorithms and object-oriented design best practices
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and able to prioritize effectively
  • Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with executive management

Desired Qualifications:

  • Four or more years developing and integrating solutions on Salesforce platforms
  • One or more Salesforce certifications (e.g. Platform Developer)
  • Experience buiding APIs on the Force.com platform for consumption by other systems
  • Experience in an Agile environment following Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with AMPscript
  • Experience with JavaScript and React or other front-end frameworks
  • Experience with Azure or AWS
  • Experience optimizing website performance for an e-commerce platform
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and able to prioritize effectively.
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity for new technology, be forward thinking and continuously researching disruptors and disruptive technologies to execute on innovative trends
  • Bias for collaborative action (team player who can drive action). Entrepreneurial mindset of finding a way even with roadblocks.
