Overview:
At DEG, we embrace new ways of connecting with consumers—harnessing creativity, strategy, and technology to craft data-driven, creatively led, and customer-centric experiences that resonate at the point of greatest impact.

As a 16-year Salesforce Partner and the only three-time Marketing Cloud Partner of the Year, DEG’s full-service team is versed in all Marketing Cloud technologies, including Audience Studio (DMP), Journey Builder, Social Studio, Ad Studio, Integration Studio, and Datorama. Our digital marketing expertise has empowered clients such as AMC Theatres, Hallmark, and Gap Inc. to achieve their goals and objectives through smarter digital strategies.

We are currently seeking a Salesforce Interaction Studio Engineer. The role is diverse and requires the individual to efficiently prioritize and manage multiple work streams at once, effectively communicate with clients, peers, and have an ability to continuously self-educate in this dynamic space. Some of the technologies are relatively new, so we encourage candidates to apply if they feel they meet the core skill requirements, alongside the level of experience we require. Training and product support will be provided with an initial goal of achieving Interaction Studio specialization and proficiency with longer term learning opportunities across the Salesforce ecosystem.

Engineers are primarily responsible for delivering client value by enabling strategic marketing goals via platform configuration and custom development. A successful candidate works as part of a team to understand how consumers are behaving across channels (e.g., web, app, email), combine this with data points from other systems, understand which devices belong to the same person, and then allow clients to make use of this connected data in a central place – managing audiences, deciding how best to personally engage each individual down to a one-to-one level, and finally sending that decision to other technologies to ensure a consistent and relevant experience is delivered for the end-consumer.

DEG is a growing company with an employee-centric culture and high regard for technology. Our highly entrepreneurial, collaborative, and dynamic environment is the perfect place for smart, motivated people to make an impact. With competitive benefits and a dedication to work-life balance, DEG has been named one of the best places to work in the country.

  • Design and manage customer data models to support strategic marketing objectives and behavioral analysis
  • Configure data ingestion and ETL operations
  • Collaborate with BAs and Consultants on overall solutioning, design, and technical documentation
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with common API development, usage, and tooling (e.g., REST, Postman)
  • Familiarity with data model concepts, ETL, and querying (SQL)
  • Proficiency in client-facing, technical and non-technical communication

About DEG

Digital Evolution Group (DEG) was founded in 1999 as a small web development firm in Kansas City. Since then, we’ve grown to become DEG, a member of the Dentsu Aegis Network and global full-service digital experience agency crafting solutions that help clients meet their business objectives. While other shops are now working to become digital, we were born here.

Here, you can grow and pursue your passions, prioritize your family, contribute to your community, and actively travel. Our “work hard, play hard” mentality provides everyone with a fun, casual work environment that embraces new and better ways to do things, and new and better things to do for our clients.

The question you must now ask is: Are you ready to evolve?
