Job Description


The primary purpose of this position is to help the Enterprise Commercial Sales business unit implement business processes, governance and technology solutions in a cost-effective way; by determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to: IT, stakeholders, facilitators and partners. This role must have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and translate business data into digestible information that improves corporate processes, in a manner consistent with organizational standards and objectives. To be successful this Team Member must build strong cross-functional and collaborative relationships with business partners to fully understand their strategies and needs. This must be accomplished in a way that is consistent with Advance Auto parts 3 core values (Inspire, Serve, and Grow).


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Acts as a liaison between Commercial Sales, Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Marketing, Accounting/back office and the technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated processes and systems

  • Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements

  • Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes

  • Act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer processes for greater efficiencies

  • Identify and document business goals; document current state business processes and data flows; document future state processes and data flows; document gap analysis between current state and future state and evaluate success criteria to ensure solution meets the requirements defined

  • Understand business change needs, assessing the business impact of those changes, capturing, analyzing and documenting requirements and supporting the communication and delivery of requirements with all relevant stakeholders

  • Write requirement statements that are complete, consistent, concise, accurate, and traceable

  • Develop metrics to consistently monitor and measure compliance to processes and business rules; provide actionable analysis to business leaders; and recommend improvement opportunities and increased efficiency across the entire organization

  • Lead discussions and design sessions concerning UIs, data flows, data integrity, data integration, system integrations, and phasing

  • Organize requirements into related categories to effectively manage and communicate to impacted stakeholders

  • Assist Technical and Architecture resources to design possible, feasible solutions leveraging current assets as appropriate and consistent with the broader enterprise direction

  • Develop requirements and process flows for customer data governance and stewardship process

  • Significant experience in requirements gathering tools, processes and procedures including BPM, Agile, CRUD, Data flow and control diagrams, business rules, GAP Analysis, prioritization, defect tracking and success criteria


  • Familiarity with at least one project methodology with ability to learn and adapt to new methodologies quickly (e.g. Waterfall and Agile)


  • Ability to work cross functionally to create a collaborative environment across business units


  • Ability to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders across functions and levels to achieve business objectives and drive strategic change.


  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels and senior leaders in a collaborative manner


  • Ability to thrive in a complex, rapidly changing environment while adhering to tight schedules and budgets.


  • Demonstrated leadership skills and problem solving capabilities.


  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals


  • Ability to travel as necessary to meet organizational and administrative demands


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or combination of education and experience

  • 2-4 years Project Experience

  • 2-4 years Requirements Gathering

  • Agile Experience preferred

  • JIRA/Automated requirements tracking system experience a plus


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Salesforce Certifications is a plus
