Ada Developers Academy is a non-profit, tuition-free coding school for women and gender diverse adults. We focus on serving low income people, underrepresented minorities, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Our program consists of two highly immersive parts: six months of focused instruction, and five months of internship at partner companies, where students refine their skills working on real-world code.
About this position
We are looking for a Salesforce Data and Evaluation Specialist to help us unravel insights and make data-informed decisions by providing analytical support. As a member of our Operations team, you will also be responsible for helping maintain our Salesforce database and training end-users on reports and dashboards. This is a full-time, non-exempt position (40 hours per week) with a base salary range of $80,000-$88,000 annually (DOE) plus excellent benefits.
Core responsibilities
Data Evaluation & Management
Manage data integrity and consistency of information, ensuring accurate tracking of key metrics and alignment of reporting across departments
Work with staff to structure, collect, enter, analyze, track, and measure data to evaluate and report on program impact
Support the implementation and administration of various evaluation tools including surveys and assessments
Develop new ways to gain insight from data to inform our decision making, including the implementation of a BI tool such as Tableau
Support the continuous improvement of evaluation methods, systems, and practices
Maintain internal data collection guide and data dictionaries
Work with Salesforce admin team to ensure CRM data is mapped to key systems, data stores, and reporting tools and facilitate any necessary changes
Work with Salesforce admin team on data cleansing initiatives and create processes that capture and produce information for accurate decision making and reporting
Data Analysis and Reporting
Create and maintain Salesforce dashboards and data visualizations that support our team’s business processes and programmatic goals
Design, create, test, and deploy tabular, summary, joined, and matrix reports in Salesforce for ad hoc, recurring, and annual reporting analyses
Analysis to include time-series, segmentation, cohort comparisons, and impact analysis
Create real-time dashboards for our KPIs and website metrics
Support the Revenue and Strategy team by providing high quality and accurate data, tailored to the needs of funders, throughout the year
Provide ad-hoc data reports as needed for internal and external stakeholders
Create and maintain data hygiene reports and dashboards to ensure CRM is up-to-date, integrations are healthy, and user data entry is valid
Training & End-User Support
Train end-users on reports and dashboards
Train end-users on data dictionary and data standards
Provide technical expertise on data storage, preparation, cleansing, and analysis
Assist in writing and maintaining technical documentation and materials
Essential qualifications
Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator, Data Analyst, or Data & Evaluation practitioner
Experience creating and managing reports and dashboards in Salesforce, including for ad-hoc business requests
Experience analyzing data and measuring KPIs
Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality, NPSP and nonprofit processes preferred
Advanced Excel or SQL skills
Familiarity with Tableau or Google Data Studio
Fluency in data collection/surveying best practices
Salesforce Administrator Certification(s) preferred
Strong collaboration skills including active, empathetic listening, and the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and effectively
