Senior Salesforce Business Analyst/Administrator
Ciena is embarking on a digital transformation journey for our Sales and Marketing processes. We are focused on this transformation in order to deliver a better and more efficient experience for our customers, resellers, and salespeople. As senior Salesforce Business Analyst/Administrator you will play a key role in defining technology solutions to achieve this vision of greater efficiency and better experience. Our team is moving fast, pivoting as we learn more, and you can be a key part in setting our direction!
This role will have expansive scope across the sales process, as well as touching on adjacent spaces in order management, accounting, and others. Example challenges:
  • Ensure data integrity with data governance around accounts and contacts in Salesforce
  • Deliver customer 360° view in Salesforce of customer data including services, orders, and financials.
  • Ensure salespeople have latest booking data at their fingertips in Salesforce
  • Deliver the right marketing content and insights to salespeople at the right time
Main responsibilities:
  • Dive deep with sales enablement and salespeople to understand and document their requirements in Jira including business cast development as needed.
  • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop/implement solutions
  • As part of the requirement gathering process, document user interface requirements, integration requirements, user impacts and training requirements, workflow requirements, data requirements, reporting requirements across all of sales and service.
  • Partner with delivery teams to ensure their implementations meet requirements
  • Manage User Acceptance Testing with end users including writing scripts and securing user acceptance sign offs
  • Track and report progress, assist in development of key success metrics and adoption strategies for new initiatives
  • Manage support requests and any escalated administrative needs of users by providing prompt and complete resolution to technical challenges and business support issues
  • Monitor usage of SFDC platform to determine effectiveness of solutions
  • Perform Salesforce administrative functions, such as the creation and configuration of users, custom objects, fields, reports, etc
Candidate profile:
  • 5 years experience in Salesforce Sales Cloud including Salesforce administration experience
  • Experience working with an agile development model including tracking work in Jira
  • Experience with Enterprise Territory Management (preferred)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for a remote first team
  • Experience working with enterprise level Salesforce instance (1,500+ users)
  • Experience with data reporting using Salesforce CRM Analytics or similar BI system
  • Strong humility, listening, and creative skills
  • Accept ownership
  • Certification(s) Preferred:
    • Salesforce Certified Administrator
    • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator
    • Salesforce Certified Business Analyst
    • Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant
