Job Description

The Saleforce Solution Architect is responsible for successfully designing and implementing solutions that enables business objectives and outcomes. The technologies include Salesforce.com products and APIs, Apex/Visualforce, Lightning, and integration/ETL technologies. The solution architect maintains an ongoing comprehensive understanding of the cloud-computing ecosystem. Engages with other Rockwell architects in designing capabilities by leveraging the Salesforce platform to address business needs and simplifying the integrations with other Rockwell systems.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Delivery Managers, Business Partners, Business Process Owners, business analysts, developers to architect technology solutions to meet business needs.

  • Architect and Design transformational solutions to meet business requirements in accordance with industry best practices.

  • Evaluate, select, implement, and integrate technology tools into a solution to solve business needs.

  • Lead and mentor the development team on projects

  • Work collaboratively and apply strong communications skills in facilitating technical discussions and presentations.

  • Play the role of a technical SME in internal strategic initiatives to grow the platform.

  • Lead architecture and design of billing and contract management capability in the order to cash space, leveraging Salesforce CPQ and Billing

  • Establish engineering best practices to develop high performing and scalable solutions

  • Establish effective devops practices to drive quality solutions, delivering incremental value through frequent releases

  • Translate large business objectives into technical roadmap and supporting big picture/ blueprint

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years IT experience with 5+ years in Salesforce CPQ and Billing.
  • Should be capable of proposing and authoring Salesforce Architecture, both Technical and Solution.

  • Should have good experience in building & implementing applications on the Salesforce CPQ platform

  • Must be involved in 3-5 Salesforce implementations.

  • Should have experience developing CPQ software solutions, including coding, testing, and deployment.

  • Understanding the software engineering life cycle for development, and the concepts and practices required to implement effective information systems.

  • Demonstrable experience in implementing solutions using Visual force.

  • Experience in integrating Salesforce with 3rd party products, ideally using web services.

  • Salesforce CPQ certification is highly desirable.

  • Assess and determine the optimal solution to align business processes to Salesforce functionality.

  • Ensure process and solutions are aligned with CRM strategy.

  • Provide technology leadership. Develop technology architecture, both at a high level and a detailed level.

  • Work with other architects to fulfill end-to-end solution delivery taking full responsibility for Salesforce.com solution.
