The Salesforce Administrator fills an essential role at YAI, enabling and improving the use of the Salesforce platform to benefit YAI’s schools, fundraising, information and referral services, volunteer mana gement, and a range of other programs. As part of the Internal CRM team, the Salesforce Administrator will have experience with Salesforce Administration and will be able to establish and implement best practices with regards to architecture, configuration, and system maintenance.

The position supports two separate Salesforce instances that both use the nonprofit success pack and constellation of 3 rd party applications and integrations to the YAI technical infrastructure.

Critical to this role is automation management, with a heavy emphasis on complex flows and process builders and requires a deep understanding of best practices of the full range of declarative solutions and when programmatic approaches are called for.

Successful candidates are e xperienced in workbench or data loader for data management as well as using SOQL and Apex efficiently and effectively.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Automation Processes: Create, maintain, enhance and troubleshoot all flows and process builders, functions and configurations within the Salesforce.com environment.

  • Data Architecture: Serve as s ubject matter expert in architecture, administration, and development for all details needed to support the Salesforce implementation.

  • Data M anagement and Governance : Utilize tools such as Data Loader, Workbench and Cloudingo to manage data in bulk. Including establishing protocol for de-duping and merging records.

  • User Experience: Maintain user interfaces and automation processes to ensure effective and efficient processes.

  • Data Analytics: Build custom reports and dashboards in Salesforce and use Apsona across the organization for complex multi-step reporting needs.

  • System Integrations: Manage a range of exi s ting and new system integrations including MailChimp, Outlook, Teams, Workday, Apsona , Formstack , and Everbridge.

  • Feature Deployment: Help develop and execute system testing; create test cases, develop and execute test plans, and facilitate the user acceptance testing .

  • System Assessments: Assist with enhancements and updates in coordination with other administrators, IT staff, and other stakeholders. Make recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems.

  • Single-Sign-On: Design and implement SSO and MFA for both Salesforce orgs .

  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades.

  • Experience with data management and de-duplication projects

  • Bring a d ata-centric mentality to their work that aligns with operations and user experience

  • Management of Fundraising Activities Utilizing NPSP

  • Donation Management, GAU’s , Campaigns (Campaign Hierarchies) , Acknowledgment Letters, Moves Management (Levels & Engagement Plans) , R eports & Dashboards

  • Experience with 3 rd party Applications

  • Apsona or Conga

  • Cloudingo or Demand Tools

  • MailChimp or other email integrations

  • Wealth Engine

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel

  • Familiarity with Salesforce Programmatic D imensions and the role they play

Education & Certificates

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management or a related field

  • D emonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex processes

  • Experience with nonprofit processes preferred

  • Have current Salesforce certifications, Certified Platform Developer as well as Salesforce Administrator credential, or Salesforce Platform App Builder credential

  • Preferred Salesforce certifications : Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud Consultant credential, Salesforce Advanced Administrator credential, Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud Consultant credential, Certified Sharing and Visibility Designer

  • Active participant in Salesforce communities

  • Have Trailhead Badges and Super-badges (Link to profile)
