The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer has experience configuring and customizing data for the Marketing Cloud. The developer is knowledgeable in subscriber management across channels and can troubleshoot various programmatic languages that guide the design of both tactical and strategic email campaigns. The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer has experience as a full-stack developer for Marketing Cloud creating personalized, dynamic messages, and landing pages, makes use of Marketing Cloud scripting languages, and is experienced with data configuration, manipulations and advanced segmentation, as well as reporting and analytics. The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer generally has at least 2 years of experience developing for Marketing Cloud and associated tools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assign

  • Develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, requirements and company goals supporting marketing, sales and finance teams.
  • Manage daily support and maintenance of internal Salesforce instances, and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements
  • Communicate with project stakeholders and other developers to design cohesive project strategies and ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing and deployment
  • Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and customer objectives, and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully
  • Interact directly with stakeholders and vendors as necessary to analyze project objectives and capability requirements, including specifications for user interfaces, customized applications and interactions with internal Salesforce instances
  • Provide system administration support of internal and customer-facing Salesforce environment, especially related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects and workflow
  • Collaborate with various internal departments, including marketing, product development, finance, sales and operations, to ensure Salesforce environment supports internal needs relating to functionality and performance
  • Configure and set up data models (data extensions, shared data extensions, Contact model).
  • Configure data import.
  • Work with customers and platform data (SQL, system data views, Send Log)
  • Write advanced SQL, including join statements.
  • Create dynamic, personalized marketing assets using various scripting languages like HTML, CSS etc.
  • Build Marketing Cloud web experience (data forms, custom preference pages).
  • Work through and resolve scenarios using REST and SOAP API.
  • Must have knowledge about JavaScript, server-side JavaScript, AMPScript APIs.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant certification is a must.

To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.

Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in computer science
  • Minimum work experience: 5+ years of software development and at least 2 years of Salesforce application development and a focus within Marketing Cloud
  • Self-motivated and creative
  • Comfortable with complex systems
  • Proficient with Apex, VisualForce, Native, MySQL and JavaScript, Opera,
  • Salesforce Developer Certification and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant Certification
  • Experience developing customer-facing user interfaces

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand departmental policies and procedures and to make independent judgments in absence of supervision
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers and team members

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of math

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart
