Position Summary: The Salesforce Administrator will report to the VP, Digital & Technology and serve as the lead owner of Points of Light’s Salesforce platform, understands the business and Salesforce structure requirements, as well as maximizes efficiency and capitalizes on the full features and benefits of the system. This person will serve as the "go to" for users, promote adoption, keep current on new releases and AppExchange solutions, provide training, ensure data integrity and quality, and more.
Position Functions and Responsibilities include:
Salesforce Administrator Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute plan to support and enhance Salesforce as Points of Light ’s CRM platform.
- Proactively gather feedback from users and develop system requirements, gap analyses and proposed solutions.
- Create and manage changes to the system.
- Manage all processes, workflows, etc. that impact / relate to Salesforce.
- Manage new releases for NPSP, existing modules and efficiently roll out new features.
- Create and maintain fields, views, reports, dashboards, campaigns and other salesforce objects and functions.
- Maintain system, security, and integrity.
- Manage user licenses, in accordance with needs.
- Maintain Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities and other OTB objects with a high degree of understanding of ideal data architecture, data quality and integrity.
- Monitor application storage usage and archive data as needed.
- Create and administer training to existing or new users/groups.
- Assist sales management and program/operations to create processes in salesforce to help monitor activities, trends, sales, and leads.
- Be the company Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Salesforce and work with a team of internal SMEs for departments/business units.
- Document company processes and workflows.
- Assist with migration from older systems/processes into Salesforce as needed.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports.
Core Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Several years of experience supporting the nonprofit success pack, program management module, Service cloud, Pardot/marketing cloud and app exchange products and integrations (DocuSign, etc.) for nonprofit organizations
- Proficient in data manipulation (Excel, Access, etc.) and cleaning
- Prefer knowledge of donor databases and database integration for websites
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated strong documentation and training skills
- Previous Salesforce administration experience
- Demonstrated success working closely and building relationships with diverse groups of people
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization
- Independent worker with a track record of achieving results
- Interface with staff developing strategy as a technical advisor
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously and take initiative
- Effectiveness in working or volunteering in a non-profit organization that is focused on maintaining high-quality work and low overhead
Requirements:
- Education: BA or BS degree
- 3+ years’ Salesforce experience required
- Internal candidates must be denoted as a Super User.
- Salesforce Administrator Certification preferred – provided if needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and coordination abilities
