This position is part of Novanta’s Corporate and Shared Services global teams. Novanta’s Corporate and Shared Services teams play an important role in executing the company’s strategic mission and operations. Included in Corporate and Shared Services are the business functions including Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Compliance, Corporate Development and Corporate Marketing. The Corporate and Shared Services teams work closely with all Novanta business units to support operating initiatives contributing to the organization’s financial success.

As a Salesforce Administrator/Developer, you will be solely responsible for all administrative and development activities on our clients Salesforce.comenvironment. You will be a strategic collaborator with internal and external business partners driving digital transformation through the digitalization and automation of manual business processes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the Salesforce.comCRM application including support requests and escalated administrative needs of users by providing prompt and complete resolution to technical challenges and business support issues
  • Hands on configuration of new and existing Salesforce.comfeatures including user management, roles/profiles, permission sets, custom objects, page layouts, custom fields, formula fields, validations, workflows rules, email templates, process builder, flows, lightning pages, custom metadata types, custom settings, managed packages
  • Lead the implementation of Salesforce’s Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) platform for all business units
  • Migrate the organization from Salesforce Classic to Lightning UI
  • Partner with global business stakeholders to proactively identify, drive, and build improvements, enhancements, and system customizations that solve critical business needs
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform and products
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices delivering recommendations to management regarding enhancement opportunities
  • Participate in change management processes driving relevant communication to stakeholders
  • Focus on user efficiencies, solving business/customer issues, invent creative solutions, and ensure data accuracy across the system
  • 24/7 ownership and resolution of Salesforce system issues and outages
  • Utilize agile project management methodologies to drive iterative rapid development and deployment cycles
  • Follow coding standards and participate in code reviews during projects to ensure best practice design patterns are followed
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and experience with Salesforce.comarchitecture and API including experience with integrations and knowledge of integration patterns and tools (Informatica, MuleSoft, AppFlow)

Required Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience implementing and configuring Salesforce.com
  • Salesforce CPQ experience
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator
  • Experience with Apex/Visualforce, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SOQL, SOSL
  • Knowledge of ETL integrations with connected databases
  • Knowledge and experience delivering solutions using Agile methodologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication with technical and non-technical resources

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related degree

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
