ACET (Adaptive Constituent Experience Technology) is Optum's call center desktop that provides agents with a guided experience to help anticipate the constituents' needs and resolve their inquiries. ACET supports SPIRE , Complex health, UHC Motion , Optum Financial and Polaris products. ACET's issue management capabilities provide an end to end view of an inquiry’s lifecycle, including robust routing and reporting capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Develop Software using Salesforce Lightning Platforming including Visual Force, Apex and corresponding client-side technologies

  • Design and develop solutions that meet Salesforce and enterprise standards and within development and operational guardrails

  • Integrate Salesforce code with other enterprise applications using Salesforce Integration Patterns

  • Develop secure and high performant code according to industry and enterprise coding standards and practices

  • Source code, environment, deployment and release management

  • Testing, quality assurance and defect fixes

  • Assign and manage work for a globally distributed engineering team of up to team members

  • Adhere to stakeholders requirements, timelines and budgeting requirements

  • Sprint planning, estimation, requirement analysis and review

  • Assist in troubleshooting production issues post-deployment, including conducting retrospectives for continuous improvement

  • Regularly monitor and review usage of the application, problem tickets, patterns to help drive teams to address root cause issues and improve the overall quality of the product

  • Engage and collaborate with other teams across the portfolio to assure the success of the overall program

  • Share and communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to staff, business, managers, and technical resources in clear, concise language that is appropriate to the target audience

  • Participate in communities of practice to share knowledge, learn, and innovate

  • Stay abreast of leading-edge technologies in the industry

  • Conduct Proof of concepts to evaluate the feasibility of implementing new tools, technology and requirements

  • Take an active role in mentoring, team performance management process by completing goal setting, interim review, and year-end review on a timely basis and soliciting ongoing feedback

  • Adapt and remain effective in a fast-paced, changing environment

Required Qualifications:


  • 4+ years of experience creating custom applications using Salesforce

  • 1+ years of experience developing using the Salesforce Lightning Platform

  • Experience writing code to integrate with back end systems and services

  • Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools

  • Understanding of web services including SOAP, REST standards and security models, integration patterns and methods

  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and testing practices, including root cause analysis

  • 4 year Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript

  • Experience working in a fast-pace, Agile, development environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Results-oriented individual with strong mentoring and problem solving skills

  • Proficient in using Integrated Development Tools such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, Visual Studio along with Source Control Systems such as git

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
