 Job Description


Overview 

The Senior Functional Consultant is tasked with leading requirements gathering sessions to gain an understanding of our customer's current state processes and technology in the CRM space, and they support the implementation work that follows. They handle our most complex and challenging projects, from the customers they work with to the technical solution complexity, to uncover current state pain points and work with their delivery team to design a future state solution and transpose into user stories. The Senior Functional Consultant is responsible for providing guidance and recommendations as well as sharing best practices across business environments and industries. 

Roles & Responsibilities 
  • Build a clear requirement gathering strategy / workshop plan for each customer engagement
  • Guide customers and advise on potential solutions and optimizing the platform
  • Lead discovery workshops; facilitate large audience discussions and present solutions
  • Identify and create an inventory of customer process pain points as well as gaps in best practices
  • Perform rapid analysis and decomposition of complex business information into functional requirements
  • Organize and drive process reengineering sessions
  • Perform business process modelling, user experience modelling and basic technical architecture diagramming
  • Build and demo prototypes in Salesforce.com
  • Interpret technical and business strategy roadmaps and apply a detailed technical solution
  • Synthesize technical and business information and present implementation needs and options confidently
  • Contribute to the overall success of the practice through Centre of Excellence, Discussions threads and Chatter
  • Assist in onboarding and mentoring new hires
  • Identify opportunities and occasionally assist pre-sales support activitiesRequired Skills & Experience 


 At least 1 complex implementation of Service Cloud 

A good understanding of GDPR 

Understands the core concepts that support contact centre solutions 
  • 5+ years' experience as a Functional Consultant / Business Analyst or similar discipline for a mid-to-large sized organization, or direct consulting expertise leading transformational CRM projects
  • 3+ years' experience with Salesforce.com configuration and/or custom development across the suite of Salesforce products
  • Experience as Functional Consultant / Business Analyst on at least 1 £/€2M+/Global implementation of Sales, Service, Community Clouds, or similar and considered a domain expert in one of the three
  • Prefer experience in a specific customer vertical (Higher Ed, Financials, Energy, etc.)
  • Strong ability to understand customer needs and pain points, facilitate deep discussions, and challenge status quo
  • Expert presentation and communication skills to both create and deliver top-notch presentations and demos to a broad audience including C-Suite to technical teams
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and succeed in projects that require you to take ownership and drive workstreams
  • Ability to take on any project at any stage and make it successful
  • Ability to influence others as a leader in the Business Analyst role
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical or Business-related area or equivalent combination of similar education and experience 
  • Ability to travel as required
Certification 

Minimum required certifications: 
  • Salesforce Administrator
  • Service Cloud ConsultantThe following certifications are advantageous: 
  • Sales Cloud Consultant (Highly desirable)
  • Community Cloud Consultant (Desirable)
  • Salesforce Advanced Admin
  • Salesforce App Builder
  • Marketing Cloud Consultant
  • Other Salesforce Certifications
