Job Description:

The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. The selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home and can be located anywhere in the United States. Work dad starts at 9am EST with occasional 8am meetings if required.

Position Summary:
The Salesforce Business Analyst (BA) will work as part of the team dedicated to ensuring that we are maximizing efficiency and capitalizing on the full features and benefits of the system to meet Training Services user group needs. The BA will define, analyze, document and validate business strategies, plans, roadmaps, processes and requirements for delivering maximum value to business. The BA will become immersed in their assigned line of business in order to understand their mission, needs, strengths and challenges in order to help them map out effective strategies. The BA will leverage data, the platform, their outstanding listening and perceptive skills to identify trends and potential issues and risks. The BA will skillfully balance being a passionate advocate for both the Training Services line of business and the IT team.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Training Services line of business.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships and rapport with the business and IT teams.
  • Produce process flows, project charters, presentations, requirements and any other types of documentation necessary to effectively convey existing processes and future needs.
  • Coach business team on the capabilities and limitations of Salesforce and how it can most effectively and efficiently meet their needs.
  • Translate business needs into Epics and User Stories; document Epics and User stories.
  • Manage the business feature backlog.
  • Represent the business team within the IT team, negotiating reasonably and logically on their behalf.
  • Participate in refinement/grooming sessions, providing business goals and fine details to the development team.
  • Participate in all Scrum events and be available at all times during business hours to provide any needed information to the development team in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with developers during the development cycle to test and ensure the solution will meet or exceed business expectations.
  • Develop User Acceptance plans and testing scripts.
  • Perform user acceptance testing.
  • Facilitate User acceptance sessions, document user feedback and manage change requests.
  • Define all test/seed data needs for user acceptance testing and perform data uploads into test environment.
  • Produce user training documentation and perform user training.
  • Proactively identify and recommend optimization and automation opportunities for the business team.
  • Build reports and dashboards for the business team.
  • Maintain current working knowledge of the Salesforce application, AppExchange solutions and seasonal Salesforce releases and leverage the updates applicable to the business

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst or Salesforce Administrator working in Sales, Service or Marketing Cloud
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Outstanding listening, perceptive and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly, and successfully, with cross-functional Business teams/partners
  • Ability to lead and manage change through process development and improvement
  • Exceptionally collaborative, flexible and adaptable when working with customers and various teams
  • Proven ability to work successfully in a self-directed manner and make the right decisions
  • Outstanding documentation skills
  • Proven ability to effectively approach, break down and solve big problems
  • Ability to work at both the strategic and fine detailed levels

Certifications Required:
Salesforce Certified Administrator

For those candidates located in Colorado or Connecticut, the salary range for this position is: $95-105K annual salary. We do not offer bonus pay for this role. Note that the American Red Cross sets salary ranges aligned to a specific geographic location in which the job or employee resides.
