Description:

The Salesforce Administrator, as part of the IT Team, ensures the continued development and maintenance of the Salesforce platform at PLTW. This role is responsible for the configuration, support, and administration of PLTW's Salesforce environment in order to further the organization’s North Star strategic objectives. The Salesforce Administrator works closely with members of IT and other business units to build, maintain, and support Salesforce functionality that enhances and assists the day-to-day operations of the organization in delivering a high-quality customer engagement experience for PLTW’s internal and external users. Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support PLTW’s Salesforce environment including user setup and design/configuration of Custom Objects, Profiles and Roles, Workflow/Process Builder, Visual Flows, Custom Fields, Validation Rules, and Page Layouts.
  • Maintain database for integrity, accuracy, and overall cleanliness.
  • Provide reporting and analysis as requested including dashboards and specialized reports.
  • Track new hires/exits within the systems and update user access to Salesforce and other integrated systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop SFDC operational structure and processes.
  • Aid in developing new processes and workflows within the systems to improve productivity and effectiveness.
  • Provide front line support for ticket requests and troubleshooting as they relate to the Salesforce system and its configuration.
  • Document changes to the Salesforce system to clearly and accurately guide future development or review of current state functionality.
  • Assist in training of new users to grow the SFDC skillset across the organization.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of the Salesforce platform including enhancements, updates, etc. Identify opportunities to evolve practices and processes in support of PLTW’s work providing recommendations as appropriate.

. Requirements:

Knowledge:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent work experience
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification
