The Commercial Solutions Program Office Sr. Manager will influence and support the organizational strategy and execution of programs aimed at optimizing the Solutions organization (Solution Engineers/Sales Engineers), reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Specialization Strategy and Programs. This person will drive workforce unity and operational excellence by defining, measuring, and improving processes and performance. The role requires an exceptional organizer, one who knows how to lead with respect-based influence; one who brings a mix of experience, domain understanding and judgment. This is a high-visibility role with direct interaction and partnership with various leaders within the Solutions group, the Sales and Sales Programs group, and the Tech and Product group.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leaders, providing thought leadership and strategic insights to help define projects and programs aimed at supporting the organizational strategy
- Help cascade the team V2MOM (Vision, Values, Methods, Obstacles, Measures) and align the organization behind the leadership's vision and priorities
- Drive and deliver strategic initiatives and cross-functional programs. Serve as change agent by stimulating, communicating and institutionalizing business process improvements
- Partner closely with other teams to jointly ensure successful operational execution across these supporting functions
- Conduct regular project reviews with leaders, providing status updates and risk mitigation strategies
- Responsible for collaboratively defining success measures and reporting frameworks for business reporting
- Support organization-wide communications and events (i.e. Dreamforce, SKO (Sales Kick Off), World Tours, etc)
You must be able to:
- Move fluidly from big picture to details in order to deliver complex cross-functional projects, often with tight deadlines. Multi-tasking and quickly pivoting between initiatives will be critical.
- Be a bridge and connector between Commercial Solutions and the broader teams.
- Be a strategic thinker, intuitive, focused, driven, organized, insightful and productive
- Understand the role of the Commercial Solutions organization within the Commercial Sales Business Unit and the larger Salesforce ecosystem
- Break through communication issues and effectively develop relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Build trust across the Solutions team and motivate people across a broad variety of job functions through your relationships. You are not afraid to be direct, but you strive to act with empathy and integrity.
- Orchestrate the efforts of cross-functional teams to execute on programs, projects, awareness campaigns and events to ensure all stakeholder alignment
- Understand complex concepts, resolve problems and present appropriate business solutions and recommendations; ability to make reasoned, independent decisions objectively. You are analytical and truth seeking.
- Organize and facilitate project planning, meetings, and presentations. Track milestones and tasks with assigned teams. Identify and remove impediments that block the team’s ability to meet project objectives
- Identify, develop, and roll-out new processes when appropriate, develop new tools to automate or streamline processes
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
- Outstanding leadership, prioritization, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills (verbal/presentation/written)
- Experience working with teams across multiple departments (cross-functional groups a plus)
- Solutions Engineering experience, creative, marketing preferred
- Advanced knowledge of common PM tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Google docs)
- Analytics background is a plus.
- Project Management certifications are a plus
