POSITION
The Junior Salesforce Administrator is an entry level position that will help us clean, optimize, and document our two Salesforce instances. This person will facilitate meetings with stakeholders to determine what objects, fields, reports, alerts, automations, etc. can be removed or need changes. This position will also be responsible for building a data dictionary. This position is ideal for someone with an educational background in Salesforce looking for real work experience.
United Way of Salt Lake has in-house Salesforce admins and developer that will assist this position. We have two Salesforce instances; one went live in Dec 2022; the other instance is six years old and runs on NPSP (Non-Profit Success Pack)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Evaluate current instances of Salesforce and identify opportunities to clean up metadata
- Migrate process builder automations to Flow, document automations
- Meet with stakeholders to determine what is being used and document findings
- Execute clean-up plan agreed to with in-house Salesforce Admin
- Create a data dictionary for each Salesforce instance and populate field level metadata
- Document integrations with Salesforce and external systems
- Make our Salesforce instances easier to use for report builders, admins, and business users by implementing tools and practices to help us keep our meta data clean

WHAT WE’LL OFFER
- $18 per hour
- Part-time, approx. 20 hours a week (ends in Aug)
- Flexibility in terms of when you work, as long as you maintain 15 hours per week, and are available at times and days of the week when team members are available to meet

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Salesforce admin certification and/or taken courses for the certification
- Understanding of relational databases
- Able to work 15-20 hours a week through August
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently
- Experience facilitating meetings and getting input on technical problems from non-technical users
- Well organized. Can put together the puzzle of how all the parts of our Salesforce build work together, as well as explain and document to others how it works.
- Attention to detail. Enjoys diving into rabbit holes and surfacing root problems
- Comfortable using pivot tables, vlookups, and data manipulation tools in Excel
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The team member is regularly required to communicate clearly, and exchange accurate information interpersonally or through communication devices. Must be able to learn new systems and procedures, prepare and analyze data and figures, constantly operate a computer and other standard office machinery. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 65% of the time. The position requires occasional movement on- and offsite to attend meetings and presentations. Must be able to move light items such as paper, laptops and presentation materials up to 15lbs
