About the Role*
The Salesforce Administrator works with stakeholders to define system requirements and customize the platform, enabling our users to get the most out of Salesforce technology. Our team is small and we have the freedom to build the right solutions from the ground-up.
Essential Responsibilities
- Understand all aspects of Salesforce configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to ongoing releases.
- Manages tasks and projects in a fast-paced operations environment, driving all issues to resolution with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and efficient task execution
- Perform tasks related to the day-to-day operations of several large implementations of Salesforce including sharing model, creation and maintenance of custom objects and fields, handling bulk data migration, workflows, validation rules, page layouts, and integrations
- Partner other interconnected groups to optimize the end-to-end process including monitoring, deployment, and production support
- Consult technical leads on best practices for designing solutions to be built on RainFocus’s business systems
- Implement monitoring services to proactively identify issues
- Work closely with stakeholders and management to document, implement, and optimize system requirements
- Actively transfers knowledge throughout the organization, participates in knowledge sharing projects to develop best practices, conducts technology/applications deep dive sessions, and mentors junior staff and new hires
- Evaluate and quantify the impact of new technologies proposed by teams throughout the business and perform a review of all systems prior to purchase
- Review impact of decommissioning old systems and processes and document these impacts for the business systems team to perform the necessary changes
- Serve as the lead subject matter expert in driving the industry best practices for the CRM ecosystem and associated integrated tools
- Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, product roadmaps and applications available from 3rd parties on the Salesforce AppExchange
- Automate testing.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3-4 years previous Salesforce application administration, development, or support with a minimum 200-seat environment handling all aspects of CRM, case management, and platform maintenance
- Expert knowledge of best practices regarding Salesforce implementations, including design patterns, release management, deployment strategies, and testing best practices
- Demonstrated ability to manage overall business initiative or several components of a large, complex project with direct experience in Kanban and Scrum;
- Ability to engage with self-awareness as required to avoid conflicts with customers based on personality differences and to make suggestions in a manner that is more likely to result in the desired outcome
- Deep understanding of: FinancialForce, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce Communities and Marketo
- Experience with Salesforce developer toolkit including Force.com IDE, Migration Tool, and data migration tools like data loader, workbench, etc.,
- Excellent proficiency in Salesforce's SOQL, SOSL, and Security Model
- Expert knowledge with Lightning Experience, Analytics, App Builder, Flows, and Components
- Experience with CPQ & Quote to cash processes in a SaaS & recurring revenue company is ideal
- Previous experience integrating ERP systems into Salesforce is a plus
- Understanding of managed packages and its coexistence with existing Salesforce environments
- Ability to drive change in an organization with an exceptional collaboration and relationship-building mindset

- Strong team player with a service-oriented attitude and customer focus
- Familiarity Change Management, and Release Management guiding principles and processes
- Experience with database concepts and data modeling capabilities

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related technical fields
Desired Skills
- Advanced Administrator (211) Certification
- Sales Cloud or Service Cloud Certification
- Experience with sandbox and production deployments
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript (JS)
- Experience with Javascript frameworks

Remote office environment. Travel will not be required.
