DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:

In this role, the candidate will be responsible for helping design solutions and owning the development, testing, release, and support of applications. You will also provide solutions that are highly usable, scalable, and maintainable on the Salesforce platform. This candidate must be highly skilled with the full suite of Salesforce tools, including APEX, and Lightning Web Components. Experience integrating Salesforce with first-party APIs is a plus. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to understand business requirements and processes and translate these into innovative solutions that are highly usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainable.

Dimensions of Role

  • Work with senior members of the team to analyse business requirements, translating those requirements in to customized solutions using the Salesforce platform
  • Implement Salesforce solutions that adhere to platform best practices and perform peer code reviews. Typical Salesforce implementations include custom platform development (Apex, Lightning Components, and Custom front ends, etc.), integrations with other systems (often through the use of middleware tools).
  • Participate in development workstreams, from design through testing and deployment
  • With project leadership, assist in the estimation of work effort and set a realistic schedule for development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Application Development (Bug Fixes & Enhancements) on the Salesforce platform using Object Oriented design methodologies and Salesforce technologies- Apex, Visual Force, Apex Triggers, Salesforce Integrations.
  • Salesforce Administration of the Salesforce environment; responsibilities include customizing and implementing profiles, roles, security settings, sharing rules, applications, custom objects, custom fields, page layouts, workflow, validation rules, approvals, dashboards, reports, etc.
  • Perform trend analysis, and develop action plans for improving SLAs and reducing case volume and problems.
  • Incident troubleshooting, resolution and technical root cause analysis to address the problem permanently.
  • Identify business risks, inefficiencies, issues and opportunities related to Salesforce platform
  • Create documentation, maintain standardisation and look for ways to continuously improve Sales & Marketing processes & procedures in Salesforce.

QUALIFICATIONS

Technical/ Functional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 3+ years of Salesforce development experience, administration, system integrations and bug fixes.
  • Solid understanding of the overall architecture of Salesforce platform
  • Experience with Salesforce platform - Sales/Service cloud, Force.com, Administration/Configuration, Apex, Visualforce, Force.com APIs, data loader, Lightning
  • Experienced in Agile and DevOps.
  • Clear and concise communicator that can converse with technical developers as easily as functional subject matter experts
  • Self-motivated, flexible, team player with solid multi-tasking, time management & organization expertise with the ability to manage multiple and often changing priorities
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting technical issues on Salesforce platform end-to-end (Application, Database, Network & Integration layers)
  • Attention to detail with the ability to analyse and solve complex problems as well as provide documentation, guidance and instruction to users

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification

Education, Professional Qualifications and Experience

  • M.S. or B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering
  • English proficiency is a must
