We are growing our Engagement Manager team for Salesforce Professional services and recruiting multiple roles at different levels and for various industries.
The Engagement Manager Role
The Engagement Manager plays the critical role in setting customers up for success by prescriptively shaping the pre-sales proposal scope across all of our services propositions (Advisory & Implementation) and Salesforce products and then leading the execution of large and transformational projects at our most strategic customers. They serve as a trusted advisor to Salesforce customers, providing guidance to Sales & Professional Services teams, ensuring synergies across each customer’s projects, and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Partnered with Account Partners, the Engagement Manager is a highly enabled, experienced professional with C-level communication skills who are accountable for project delivery end-to-end, starting with supporting pre-sales activities by contributing defined deliverables and valuable insights around Salesforce’s services delivery, staffing of the project team after the deal is closed, overseeing internal knowledge transfers between pre-sales and the project team and supporting the PM throughout the project lifecycle with defined activities in a billable role
The ideal candidate has experience leading large-scale customer experience, digitisation, or sales/service/marketing transformation programs (preferably utilising the Salesforce platform) as an internal leader or as an external consultant. You are confident, experienced, and credible in engagements with C-Suite, with an unwavering ability to influence action and results up, down, and across the organisation.

Responsibilities:
- Aligning closely with Account and Services Sales teams to own pre-sales activities such as discovery, scoping, solutioning, SOW development, and project staffing
- Leading the development of Customer specific implementation proposals, during pre-sales stage, presenting them to the customer, scope the SOWs, staffing plans, engaging with SMEs across the organisation to gain consensus on an acceptable proposal
- Provide the Professional Services team with Subject Matter Expertise related to the proposed solution and client needs in order to ensure successful project delivery
- Develop trust and credibility with our Customers and be an effective storyteller, articulating how we can take the customer on their journey bringing in experience from our other customer success stories.
- Where appropriate and required for Customer Success, providing direct oversight to the project team during the full lifecycle of the engagement, acting as the escalation point for both the customer and Salesforce delivery teams
- Ensure that engagements conclude with fully satisfied clients that are willing to be referenced for new potential clients
- Manage multiple strategic clients simultaneously
- Proactively mitigate and manage critical escalations and at-risk accounts; communicate effectively and appropriately with internal and external leaders and executives

- Lead business and IT executives in scope alignment and definition sessions, identify program critical success factors and drive mitigation of significant issues and risks
- Communicate a succinct, clear, vivid, inspiring, and relevant description or picture of Services Proposition benefits/value to the customer
- Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
- May supervise the activities of others.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Demonstrated technical and/or functional aptitude, and ability to engage with architects or SMEs in pre-sales activities.
- Demonstrated experience across digital, change management, innovation or experience design.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a track record of decisive decision making and executive-level presence and experience in working in a Customer advisory role
- Proven ability to generate trust and build alliances.
- Empathy, curiosity, and desire to improve and constantly learn.
- Consistent record of delivering business value
- Extensive experience delivering consulting services, preferred in CRM, including team leadership and active involvement in selling professional services
- Solid experience in enterprise-level project or program management experience
- Experience in operating in a pre-sales environment, shaping and scoping large and complex implementation projects, preferred in CRM
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification e.g. PMI/PRINCE 2
- Availability to travel
