Position Overview:

Reports to: AVP, IT (Digital eCommerce Technology)

Location: Based in our Etna, OH corporate office and DC location.

The Salesforce eCommerce SME is a hands-on expert in salesforce eCommerce platform. He/She has designed, developed and has led technical teams in enhancing, customizing and supporting salesforce eCommerce solution.

Works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements and drives the analysis and design of quality eCommerce solutions that are related to enhancing salesforce production solution or solving functional/technical gaps in a production solution. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization’s architectural and integration standards.

Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy versus build recommendations. Has experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and scrum methodologies.

Will lead level 2 and Level 3 engineers to resolve production incidents related to salesforce eCommerce solution. Will be responsible for helping teams in incident management, root cause, problem management and production change management for the eCommerce area

Designs, plans, and coordinates work teams. Leads and directs the work of others. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist. Provides technical guidance and support to project team members.

Required Skills, Experience, Competencies:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically has 7 to 10 years of IT work experience, with last 5 years in leading teams and developing eCommerce solution in salesforce eCommerce platform.
  • Must have advance knowledge of salesforce eCommerce SFRA framework and understand the inner workings of it. Should have developed and troubleshoot issues as it relates to SFRA framework
  • Must have deep functional understanding of salesforce eCommerce Business manager tool and should have used it in developing, configuring, and deploying components using the business manager tool
  • Must have deep understanding and experience in using and troubleshooting SFRA cartridges. Should be able to design and develop custom salesforce cartridges and plugins
  • Must have deep understanding and experience in using salesforce Hooks, OCAPI and Jobs
  • Must have experience in developing, using, and troubleshooting various salesforce eCommerce components and programming constructs like Controllers, Routes, extending controllers, models, ISML templates, content slots, page designers, objects, forms & page caching
  • Outstanding communications skills; able to articulate complex technical topics for non-technical audiences.
  • Working experience with Agile/Scrum and deliverables associated with each phase.
