Program Overview:


The eHealth Centre of Excellence (eCE) develops, implements, and advances digital health tools and services – such as eReferral, eConsult, Virtual Care, Patient Forms, EMR Tools & Coaching, and Automated Solutions – to better serve clinicians and patients across the province. We advocate for the continued and improved use of technology to enhance the connection and secure information-sharing between all clinicians in the patient’s circle of care, as well as communication between clinicians and their patients. We also support clinicians with tools that provide decision support at the point-of-care and improve data quality, leading to enhanced outcomes for patients.

Position Overview:


The Salesforce Administrator holds a pivotal leadership role in supporting digital health initiatives. This position calls for an individual with a proactive mindset and strong leadership skills to independently drive the optimization of Salesforce tools and capabilities. The Salesforce Administrator will engage and work with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure the organization utilizes different tools and capabilities offered by Salesforce effectively and efficiently. This role requires the individual to work with stakeholders to define system requirements and customize the platform to achieve business goals and enable users to get the most out of Salesforce technology. This position will work with the Project Lead and the project team to ensure the successful delivery of all project activities.


Key Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop and drive the overall Salesforce strategic vision within the organization
  • Lead user training sessions, guiding stakeholders in maximizing Salesforce potential and driving independent usage.
  • Proactively identify and address user concerns, aggregate and prioritize user feedback to initiate innovative enhancements aligning with organizational goals
  • Independently oversee data management to improve data quality and accuracy, utilizing analytical skills to produce effective solutions
  • Act as a consultative partner in cross-functional teams optimizing Salesforce to enhance CRM and business operations
  • Drive project success by mapping accurate business requirements and spearheading customization efforts aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Provide guidance and oversight for teams to create reports and data analysis, ensuring the quality and relevance of insights
  • Stay up to date on emerging Salesforce enhancements and identify opportunities to bring those enhancements to our existing Salesforce instance (e.g. Einstein AI Chatbots etc.)
  • Tracking risks and issues, reporting and deliverables management
  • Work with the project team to support stakeholders with identification of risks and issues
  • Balances projects and day-to-day support of Salesforce and integrated tools
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:


  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • Salesforce certified administrator or Salesforce advanced administrator certification preferred, with a track record of independently driving system enhancements
  • 2 or more years of professional or equivalent experience in Salesforce development and administration; experience in the healthcare industry preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify business needs and design and produce highly effective solutions
  • Experience in gathering business requirements and workflow mapping
  • Experience with preparing reports and ensuring the quality of reports and data
  • Strong coordination and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and SharePoint, as well as proficiency with other Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Some travel within Ontario may be required
